Sophie's Hostel is tucked in Prague’s New Town (Nove Mesto) which is steeped in authentic culture and home to an eclectic mix of local restaurants, cafes, and shops. New Town borders Old Town allowing easy access to the historical center and Wenceslas Square by foot or by tram. Our location is ideal, especially for those who seek a wee bit of refuge from the tourist crowds.

Sophie's Hostel also offers an on-site bar/cafe with daily happy hour and a wonderful breakfast daily 7-11 (not included). 24-hour reception with no lock-out or curfew, secure luggage room and air-conditioned private rooms upon request (based on availability). Good hostel with amazing sleeping arrangements! PROS: The single-person pods were the best sleep I've ever had in a hostel; kitchen had everything you need; AC in the room; very friendly staff. CONS: The 'locked' doors were constantly left open (poor security); the kitchen was small compared to the number of people, with not much room to sit and eat; the location was within walking distance but wasn't close to any of the attractions. Worth a stay but not out-of-this-world

Hostelworld guests say they like this hostel's position in New Town, saying "it's a very quick metro ride to the Old Town Square" and "only three blocks away from Wenceslas Square, but you are also a little bit out of the tourist old town so there are some great local restaurants nearby with amazing traditional Czech food". We like that some of the dorms in this hostel don't have bunk beds.
