Unsure why this hostel has such great ratings. They shouldn't be allowed to say 'breakfast included'- some white rolls with nothing to put on or in them and coffee granules-very poor! Private room wasn't private- see-through curtains and very unprivate shower area! Young guy that is usually running things-constantly 'gaming' on his computer, barely has time to look up, no maps or city information given, kitchen unequipt and no hot water to wash dishes (unhygienic). Not great.

What an incredible hostel. Staffmember Susanna really made our stay and with her around you want to stay longer. Took us out for a salsa night and helped us with every thing we needed. The hostel feels like you're staying at a friends home. It's clean, very affordable, big rooms ( i had a private ensuite but the dorms look big as well ), two kitchens, good wifi and it's very close to downtown Cali. Just a lovely place to spend your time and you get free salsa lessons 3 times a week. Brilliant!

If you have no problems with cats walking around , sitting on your chair, sleeping on your bed, it's a nice hostel to stay. The salsa lessons are great at this hostel

The hostel is clean, comfortable and secure. The kitchen facilities are very basic. The staff are absolutely fantastic. We were given a quick tour of the hostel so we knew where everything was, as well as an explanation of where to find key amenities such as supermarkets, banks and some tourist attractions. Staff were always helpful for calling cabs and even ordering takeaway. Unfortunately we were in Cali when the town was deserted (Easter Weekend) and so it was difficult to judge atmosphere.

Great little hostel if you are keen to learn some salsa. The hostel staff also took us out to a salsa club one night.

I have stayed several hostels in Cali, but this hostel is the best. Mistella Salsa hostel is in the area called Alameda where is very safe and close to some of the nice salsoteca that good salsa dancer come, like Tin Tin Deo, Salsa Night Club. If you stay in centro, those clubs are far away although close to AV6th where there are no clubs good doncers come. Famous salsa school Son De Luz is only 3 blocks, big supermarket is in 5min walk. They have free salsa lesson 3times a week, two kitchens.
