Double room felt like sleeping in a bathroom. very depressing! kitchen was poorly equipped. staff was helpful in booking a flight.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The 8 bed dorm is tiny, the bathroom was mostly clean. The kitchen did not have enough equipment ans was often dirty. Would still recommend staying if yo are looking for somewhere cheap.

Worst breakfast ever! Staff were nice but a little unorganized!

Very nice hostel. The price is great, and the owners are really nice and helpful. It's very clean, the BBQ is very tasty! The kitchen is ok but can be with more equipment.

not bad for the price but some of the facilities are a little disappointing. bathrooms need cleaning more often, no oven and no microwave for cooking. the staff are lovely and really helpful, were more than happy to look up anything online for us and help us with trips and other bookings. nice location, very close to the beach and bus stop is just outside.

More cooking utensils would be nice, and also internet access.

Gustavo, Carla and the other staff at Moa make staying there a fun and comfortable experience. They are extremely helpful and accommodating. We stayed in a private room for a week over Carnival and the rates were the best in town. Breakfast was good and the caipirinhas at the bar were amazing. The location is very good, the bus stops outside and it is just a short walk to the beach. The hostel is still quite new and I know will only improve as more facilities are added.

Very nice staff, but doesn't make up for lack of common spaces to relax in.. Horrible breakfast.

Great hostel! Gustavo and Carla are awesome and make you feel at home right away. This hostel would be a 100% if the kitchen was cleaned more often and had more utencils. It's really close to the beach and all in all a great place to stay.

Took a gamble on this hostel based on previous reviews and it did not pay off. We book for 3 nights and left after 1. The overall location is good and the staff are really nice however the place has a half finshed feel about it and the facilities are pretty bad. Situated on the main road it is very noisy so ask for a room at the back. The kitchen is very badly equipped and only open 12-9. and the wifi poor. You cant bring in your own alcohol and the breakfast is rubbish. Not recommended.

Gustavo, the owner, is the friendliest owner of a hostel I have ever met. His hostel is brand new, which means that the beds are very comfortable. Having said that, the hostel is still in its starting up phase, but will definitely recommend staying there.

We stayed at Moa backpackers for 4 nights in January. Although the weather wasn´t on our side the experience at Moa was more than enjoyable. The owners and their staff were very hospitable and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The owners were always available for a friendly chat and offered advice on how best to spend our time in flori.Moa was exceptionally clean, good value for money, excellent location and a first class South American Breakfast. Highly recommended|||

I spent a really nice time. People were amazing at hostel. They even planned a party for my birthday!( a "cachorros quentes and brigadeiros party made by the owner Carla) I recomend it if you wanna have a nice time and make friends. They make you feel like home!

It`s a new hostel but it was very nice and the staff was really great!

It was a good location, near the beach! the people were very friendly and they gave good information. You have to go to the pizzeria that is near the hostel, it is sooo good!!

This hostel is one of the best I've ever stayed in my life. The owers Carla and Gustavo are really nice people, funny helpful and kind. The hostel is very close to the beach by foot and to nice restaurants. The beds and linen are very new and the rooms are always clean. Breakfast is really good and the bar is also a nice place to stay talking to the other guests, drinking and listening to music you can play yourself. It has a lively and friendly vibe.

Really nice staff and great location, but internet was not working well. Also, the kitchen could be more clean and better equipped.

Nice place to stay, i spent a great new year on the Magic Island.
