Great location directly at the sea (from my room I could almost spit on the beach!! BUT it takes app. 20 min with the car to Wellington city centre.

very clean, well equipped and in a nice location. the "vibe" was a bit off somehow in some immeasurable way, compared to many others i stayed at. i would definitely stay there again though, as the other parts were top notch.

The nicest back packers I have ever stayed in. The owners are really lovely, the beachside home is lovely and the relatively small number of rooms means a more Personal relationship with other guests. Hope to get back here one day. Thanks for a very comfortable stay.

If you're the kind of person who doesn't need a huge party hostel and you might want to stay on the beach in a suburb instead of in a building in a city, then you should stay here. Besides being a 17 minute walk to the train station and a 30 minute ride to the city, this hostel is basically perfect. It's by far the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. They have a guitar to play, everything you could ever need in a kitchen, dvds to watch, awesome owners and staff. Can't say enough about my stay.
