I don't think most people would enjoy staying at this hostel. It has a great vibe, but is filthy and uncomfortable. At one point we were locked out at 6am and the staff told us to go wait for a few hours, another time the owner went out leaving our passports in his room, and didn't return for 36 hours because he was partying. There are no doors on the toilets, and they turn off the water, meaning people will pop in the same room as you, and it will sit there all night. But it's fun! And the ppl

no reception desk No way to get to hostel of the owner not here No water in the bathroom (I don't even speak about toilet paper..) If the hostel doesn't receive the reservations from hostelbookers, so delete your profile from here. And pick up the phone please.

The hostel was a little mad! The owners were amazing, though spoke barely any english. When we got back from dinner there were lots of locals playing music and drinking etc. This was fun to be part of, though we questioned the security of our stuff as our dorm door did not lock and there were no lockers - this needs improvement. We were lucky that the owners wife gave us a private room for very little more so that we were secure.

Unfriendly owner, Very poor maintained. The place is falling apart. But the paintings are very nice.

No power for 90% of our stay, which also means no water. Although this was not really their fault, they did little to help the situation. Many other places have generators or at least make water available. They provide towels and toilet paper. Our room smelt bad and was not particularly clean, but had a good mosquito net. The kitchen is good enough to use but dirty and poorly equipped. It was loud at night with the communal area right oitside rooms. Better hostels on road to beach

The hostal accommodation would benefit a few simple improvements. Provide a towel, toilet paper, clean the room occasionally, put a handle on the bathroom door so it closes. There area lot of people wandering in and out and on occasion one is not too sure who is keeping an eye on this as on many occasions there is no one on reception. Security for room is flimsy old padlock. Mainly for the hippy clientele and dreadlock crowd. Friendly enough.

Very basic facility, the staff are Bob Marley type, better stay at one of the beach hostels if you can.

We are thankful and delighted that we found Mochileros Culturart amongst all of the other places in Palomino. Although is a very simple place on the road, is very clean and comfortable and the staff is supernice. The spaces are wide, the kitchen is well equiped (or at least better than other places that we've been to). We were able to get in touch with Palomino's cultural environment. We were happy to party with live typical colombian cumbia, and all of the afro caribbean rhythms around the fire

I really hoped that other reviews for this were wrong but unfortunately this is hands-down the worst hostel I have ever stayed in and I'm surprised it's listed on HostelWorld. Although the host did his best to be helpful and was very sweet, the facilities are really beyond-poor; Really, really dirty, full of cockroaches, no running water in the morning, sheets were not clean, showers worse, the yard has no draining so flooded in the rain.

We checked in and the dude took us to a private room with people "being intimate." The place was dirty, mildew smell everywhere. The kitchen had no stove or microwave. We promptly went to tge beach and found some hammocks that were cleaner and cheaper. Hostal world should even deal with this place. Dirtiest I have ever seen.
