If coming from the airports:
Charles de Gaulle:
Take either the Roissy Bus until the Opera House and then either walk (straight on the rue La Fayette) or the metro line 7 (2 stops) or the RER B until Gare du Nordand then either walk (down the rue La Fayette) or metro line 5 until Gare de l'Est (1 stop) and line 7 until Cadet (2 stops).

Orly:
Take the Orlyval until Gare du Nord and then either walk (down the rue La Fayette) or metro line 5 until Gare de l'Est (1 stop) and line 7 until Cadet (2 stops).
