This property was sufficient for a one-night stay before leaving the next day, after 10 days in western Europe. By Paris standards the value was okay. We knew the property had no elevator (lift), but a 10 euro deposit to use the TV remote? Really? Probably would not stay here again.

Over all an ok stay here. Stayed 4 nights. TV didnt work as it was broken. It says reception is 24hours, yet we came home from the moulin rouge show at 130 am to find the hotel shut up. Luckly we had a phone and finally after calling to get machine and knocking on doors a guy got off the couch and let us in. Not a bad stay other than these problems. Not bad if you like long walks to attractions - about 15km a day we did.

Really clean, comfortable and central. Staff excellent- I lost my passport and they found it for me. Good value for Paris.

This hotel was good for the money. they charge 7 euro per day for internet which I thought was outrageous but since the tv in my room was broken the guy at the front desk gave us the internet code for free which I thought was a really sweet deal! The front desk guy was very helpful and explained to us how to get around the city and metro and where to go at what times etc. room was very tiny and hard to move around but was clean and shower was hot! Metro is close about 2-3 minute walk!

A very good stay. Clean, brightly lit rooms with nice bathrooms.

Staff very helpful, room cleaned daily, very close to metro (which was on two lines that went everywhere) and rooms were nicely furnished. a little cold in the winter and no elevator was only minor negatives, but a the excellent price outweighed that!

Basic hotel, stayed with my brother and the bathroom door was frosted and not that private which supplied us with giggles, close to the metro and the cemetery if your into that sort of thing. Staff were nice. You get what you pay for a clean room and shower,

Our room was beutifull and new. Everything was good. Only poor thing of our room was its location at sixth floor. If I will go to Paris again, i will like stay in this hostel again.

Good Hotel with a welcoming staff.

I am very pleased with the stay at Modern Hotel, it's a good budget alternative. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was nice, but the security might not have been the best. We enjoyed the stay!

No elevator, and after one day walking all around going up 5 floors is hard. They kept our luggage for half day with no charge, so really good. Good location since we arrived through metro to the main places, but it was not in the main area of Paris Since it is a hotel, the staff did not inform you about tourists places. They dont have internet, need to go outside, the 10 minutes cost 0.40 euros. In general good place, we will go back if not found any other hotel nearer main places.

there is not a hostel. so it's expensive and unfuny place. if i don't have to stay there, i didn't.

I had an excellent stay and recommend Modern Hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they speak English well. The hotel is close to a metro stop so you can get to anywhere in Paris very quickly. The room was well maintained and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. Lots of cafes and bakeries nearby, too!

The hotel is near the subway so it is convenient to go out. Staff are very kind but not so helpful. No Internet at all and they will ask you to use Internet in Internet bar although it is not far

Great location in the heart of the 11th arrondissement with nice bars and restaurants on your doorstep, very friendly staff, nice clean rooms for a reasonable price. Low water pressure in the shower, though, so it was a bit difficult to rinse the shampoo out of my long hair, but well... Would stay there again next time.

Hotel Modern was a pleasure to stay at. The room was small but so nicely decorated. We felt very safe and at home staying there! The staff was also very accommodating. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again!

Bathroom had no door on it so it was in open view from the bed. Fairly new furnishings and pretty wallpaper. Towels and bedspread had cigarette stains.
