We were here for 3 nights. First impression was not very pleasant, but later everything turned out alright. The hostel is really tiny - administration desk, two computers with free internet, kitchen, common space with sofa is in one room, so you can imagine the smallness of the hostel. We were 7, we stayed in room for 8 with one Turkish girl, atmosphere was very friendly :) The staff (one guy) is also friendly, but you have to get used to his jokes. Free dinner is very good (pasta).

We arrived on time to check in to a tiny desk in unsatisfactory conditions, with attendants who did not speak English, and it turned out the hostel had overbooked and we would be moved to a different hostel. The other place ended up being much nicer, but the Mona Lisa was very unsatisfactory.

We had the best time there!!! People are really nice and helpful. Dinner (pasta) and internet for free!!! It is a hostel to have fun and it is also near the most important places to visit in Rome so you don't have to spend money on buses or subways.

Friendly, homely hostel. Helpful staff. Evening meal free for guests - gets everyone together. Great for getting to know everyone. Enjoyed my stay.

The common are is one room and staff members are always there so it's not good for socializing with other guests. Lockdown "for cleaning" is every day and ridiculously long, they shouldn't say they have 24-hour access when that is not true. They do make free dinner every evening so that's nice.

I've been staying 5 night at the mona lisa hostel, it was a good staying. The personal is very nice, he cooks a free dinner every night. Also, this hostel is very close to the Colosseum.

The location of this hostel is superb, a short walk from the major tourist attractions and restaurants. The staff member (Yusuf) who looked after us during our stay was lovely and cooked us delicious meals for free every night. However this is a very basic hostel. The beds are comfortable and shower is good so you get what you pay for. There is also lock out during the day. If you are wanting a more social experience you´d have to stay elsewhere.

although the location is acceptable, the hostel is too horrible. Dirty rooms and shower rooms, with no room key so everyone can enter your room without your permission. Do not accept credit card payment. In a word, never choose this hostel.

Free Internet and dinner are great. It would be better to have different food for dinner though... Having the same thing for a few days can be slightly boring.

AVOID!! AVOID!! Avoid at all costs! I have done a lot of travelling and stayed in various places but this is the dodgiest, dirtiest and rubbish place I have ever stayed at. Do not believe the positive reviews, the guy offers you a free plate of pasta for a good review. You have 30 bunk beds and only 2 toilets. We also had to pay extra the night we arrived. The guy is taking a chance and the photos on the Internet look nothing like it actually does. All of us that stayed there felt unsafe too.

I really enjoy staying here. The staff is really nice and willing to offer help. Dinner is provided, though the quality is not restaurant-level, the meal is good. There is room for improvement. The feather in the blankets keep falling off, the ladder is not tightly attached to the bed and I find it quite difficult to climb up and down, the carpet in the bathrooms are not clean enough. But overll I have had a good experience in Mona Lisa.

There are "lock out" time from 10.30am til 4pm, its very inconvenient. There are only 2 toilets sharing between all of the dorm, which is about 25-30 beds, imagine the how crowded it would be to use the toilet and get out before 10.30am! The entrance to the hostel seems to be very old and dangerous, if you're a woman and going alone, i do not recommend this place.

Those staffs are very nice, They always call you "my friend" that really serve you as a friend. They are extremely friendly and helpful. The beds are ok and the wifi service is really free and good connection. Sometimes if they have spare apple, they will ask you whether you want. They have free dinner which is tasty!!!!!!! This hostel is highly recommended.

Great staff, free dinner on some nights, fantastic location. Able to walk to any sights around Rome. Close to termini station, supermarkets, bars, restaurants etc. However if you are in need of a bit of luxury then think of going elsewhere, not the cleanest place (shower and bathroom being shared by 20+ people) and having the reception, lounge and kitchen cramped in one room is a bit overwhelming when the hostel is at full capacity. Would stay there again, great experience.

This place shouldn't be called hostel, it's a house with rooms, the free dinner every night is a lie. My experience was terrible, so dirty!, I had to sleep on the floor at the staff bed, in a second floor so small that you couldn't even move.
