The staff is great, specially for an indian guy, Yousuf, who makes us feel like home to all of us. He cooks wonderful pasta and has an hilarius sens of humor. A negative thing of the hostel is that it only has 2 bathrooms for everyone, and the infrastructure is not prepared for so many people (there is no loby) just a coach at the entrance of the hostel.

The staff (Ali & Alex) make this place enjoyable. Ali was super helpful. He cooked pasta on several nights. Made tea in the morning for us & offered cookies & orange juice.

Strange and unclean place. The hostel is an old apartment with some charm, but the stuff is very strange. They where living and sleeping just in front of your room door. In the morning you have to climb and dance to reach the apartment door, because people where sleeping on the floor. If you have more contact to the staff people, they penetrate you with racism discussions like: all Germans hate Indians...Americans kills Indians, but American are good... And other awful things. If you want to ha

the hostel is locates very well but thats the only positive thing. it was dirty and the indian people dont know anything about managing a hostel. its not the best way to slee on a metress in the commune-kitchen...or to put the stuff of the people under the dirty bed... but i know they are giving their best. but im sorry that is not enough.

Had a great time at Mona Lisa, met some amazing people and saved money with free dinners at the hostel, as well as tea and coffee in the morning. You get to know everybody as you wait for dinner and all the people there during my stay were just delightful! Staff are awesome! I would not recomment this hostel though, purely because there is a lockout. 11-4) for "cleaning". Cleaning this tiny hostel would take about an hour! I have never stayed at a hostel with a lockout. It is just annoying.

The living room is the same place where the staff sleeps. Therefore, there is not much space to socialize or interact with other people. The fact that all the people have to leave the room during day (10:30 to 4pm) was not so nice and the only explanation about this was the cleaning time, but really, 5hrs? When we came back the cleaning was not as expected for that amount of time or the "importance" they gave.

Pretty close to everything, but still quiet. Free dinner was nice and lets you meet everyone staying there.

This place has excellent location, the staff is very friendly and nice, these guys always offer help and create a good atmosphere. Every evening they cooked free dinner for everybody! So free dinners and free internet were not a fiction :-) We just recommand ear plugs if you stay in common dorms - because people always move in and out and make a noise..with ear plugs you will have good sleep:-)

Had a good time. The owner was really nice and very helpful, and the free dinner was amazing as I try to save money as much as possible. That pretty much made the whole stay worth it for me. Met some really nice people from all over the world too. Bathrooms were not super clean, but considering how many people use them, I would consider them quite clean.

Absolutely reccomend this hostel- it is very conveniently located only ten minutes from the Coloseum and the Termini Station (important for flights in and out) as well as was safe and had an excllent atmosphere. The managers put an extra touch on the experience- personally making supper for the guests and making sure everyone had what they needed (infrmation, towels, or coffee in the morning) smiles were always availlable! Great restaurants on the street over.

lovely place! maybe the facility is not the best, but the armosphere there is my favourite. the host is very nice and funny, cook great pasta every night at 7, and it is time to meet people from all around the world. good location, close to most attractions. got two computers and free wifi. maybe a bit improvement in the bathroom, but besides that, everything was fantastic. definitely go there again if im going to rome in the future.

I booked the hostel one month before I arrive Roma. But the staff told me that the hostel is not available on the first day, It is really unfair!!!! They arranged me to another hostel...which is more expensive.... Fortunately, that hostel is clean and comfortable.
