Guy at front desk didn't speak English. He had to call the owner, hand you the phone, and you have to go back and forth.

Worst hostel. No staff for two days. No water for three days and one day without electricity.

Not a lot to do around the hostel, but it's perfect for a late night/early morning flight out of Samui. Clean rooms, helpful staff.

look to it that this hostel is not on the east coast as most of the places to stay. its on the north coast and not that centrally located! staff very nice and helpfull tho. good place to get to the fullmoon from koh samui!

The guys that run the hostel were so helpful and very nice. It was a bit away from places but if you got a scooter you were fine. The place was clean and great to be in, we stayed more nights then intended to which was how much we liked it. They were helpful with full moon party and everything

The place is not bad at all. The rooms and bathrooms are big enough, could be more clean, but nothing unacceptable... The only staff in the place is absolutely lovely and unbelievable helpful. The pool is totally useless once It is pretty filth... The area around could be improved end cleaned. Great selection of movies on the "movies room". Close to an amazing beach, convenience store and nice and cheap local people restaurants.

Hostel looked amazing, but in my opinion it's to far away from the beaches and nightlife.

Actually got a whole dorm for ourselves, that was unexpected. However, the bathroom was really dirty when we arrived, and during our stay we had constant power cuts, not the whole hostel, but only the second floor, which was annoying when taking a shower, or doing something else. Never really got an explanation, otherwise ok hostel.

We were due to stay in the hostel but due to a mix up we actually stayed in the apartment block next door, which was brand new with air-con and en-suite! The hostel were helpful - allowing us to leave bags until we left to catch the ferry and organising our full moon boat transfer. Also the internet was free (compared with other places that charged up to 20baht for 10 minutes!)

We had the best time at this hostel! Although not very conveniently located, everything is accessible by motorbike if you want to rent one. The owner is AMAZING. He was willing to drive you wherever you needed - he even drove one of the other travelers to the hospital and back for all her appointments! And offered to take us to the pier for Full Moon if there was no bus! It's a nice small hostel so you have the chance to really get to know other backpackers. It's very relaxed !!!

While the rooms were fine the toilet facilities, location of the hostel and the fact you could never find the guy running the place left us feeling like we should have booked else where.

After being cheated badly (400 bhat) and left at the Big Buddha Pier by the cab driver who even didn't drive me to the hostel as he could not squeeze out extra 100 bhat, i had to contact the only staff at the Monkey Samui Hostel. I forgot his name but he was so helpful to drive and figure out where i was and get me to the hostel at no cost. Where else could you get this generosity or hospitality other than in Monkey Samui.
