Nice place, nice people, but not nearly enough planning and informational help and not enough English spoken.

If we will return to Hualien, we will stay definetely at MSB!

Everything was clean, quiet, and convenient, and the location was good. My only complaint is that there were too many mosquitoes in the room.

It's quite inconvenient when you stay at 2nd floor, but the locker it's at 1st floor. Atmosphere is poor, no one in the open area just after midnight....

What a great hostel! The perfect place to set up camp to explore Taroko Gorge.

The staff is super friendly and always prepared to help you out. The dorm was nice and quiet even though there are so many beds. The common room is awesome, nice sofa's, a good place to hang out and talk to other travellers. Everything was clean and tidy. had a perfect stay and will definitely go there if I ever go back to Hualien!

Awesome Hostel! Lovely, clean linen, really comfortable beds, natural light in dorm room and loads of space. Very clean, bathrooms, bedroom and communal areas. Very helpful staff, nice modern fresh design. I was so relaxed even though I was there less than 36 hours it felt like a real break. Proper hot strong shower and clean towels to rent. Best night's sleep for months!

Monkey Surfing Backpackers hostel is one of the best hostels Ive stayed in. It was clean, the host was a great home and the atmosphere in the hostel was really chill. I had a great and memorable time at Monkey Surfing backpackers and it is definitely a hostel that I would be returning to in the distant future. 7 star hostel for sure.

I love this hostel so much that it really made me have wonderful stay in Hualien. Appreciate the nice staff there and together with other travellers we had nice talks which I regard highly indeed. Thx for the staff for their high cimmitment and engagement shown to the hostel and the travellers!

Nice hostel, nice staff, very friendly and helpful.

We were only here for 2 nights but the staff was very helpful with helping us organize our trip. The rooms are awesomely decorated and unique. Great value for your money.

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and very welcoming. The downstairs common area was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Great places, the hostel keeper Lanni is very helpful and friendly. You could get much valuable information on staying or travelling. Although, the place is a little hard to find, luckily that Hualien is small town.

The hostel is excellent, very clean and tidy. Everything here is so good together with two little cats, the sofa is big enough to be a single bed. If you come to Hualien , you can choose here.
