Nice hostel right in the center of Kotor. I've got a private in a house next to it for a good price. A good base to visit Kotor and the whole Boka Kotorska.

Great location, right in the heart of Old Town - approx 7-10 minute walk to bus terminal. Lady at reception was very helpful and kind. Dorm rooms are very basic, fine for a good nights sleep. Bathrooms were quite wornout, but we never ran out of hot water which was a pro. Common area & kitchen upstairs is large. I recommend this hostel if you are planning on being active during the day / night while in Kotor and do not need to spend much time at the hostel apart from sleeping!

Fantastic location, literally right in the centre of the old town, and a short walk to the bus station and grocery stores. The guy working there was so nice and helpful. Really great vibe. Only real complaint is the fact the front door does not have a lock or key card entry. Also could use another bathroom, as I could see it being a problem when the place is full.

Judging from other reviews, the staff seems to be hit or miss. Miljan was working when we were there and he was fantastic - super helpful in answering questions and keeping things clean. The hostel is in a great location in a great town.

The girls on reception were very rude and very unwelcoming. Only 1 bathroom for 3 dorms is not enough. The tour of Montenegro was really good and the guide was great and full of knowledge. Montenegro is a great place to stay, not to sure if i would stay here again because it has the rudest staff i have met in 2 years of traveling

Great location. Nice enough rooms and common area. Only had one bathroom and toilet for everyone which was a bit of a pain. Couple of small issues with the room (door woke everyone up at night, was above a bar with loud music).

Good hostel, with good facilities, well placed right in the old town of Kotor. It's a little spread out over the building it's in - access to the bit I stayed in (which was simply a different floor to reception) was by a different sets of steps - but plus side it had its own common room area as well.

Had a great time at Montenegro Hostel, Kotor! The rooms were clean, the beds super comfortable! Staff keen to help and very friendly!

The staff here were rude and unwelcoming, and the bathroom floor was filthy with squashed insects all over the walls. The only positive to this hostel was the location.

I know that I am only giving this hostel a 73%, but I was quite happy staying there. You can't beat the location and the staff and security were good. It's too bad that there aren't more bathrooms, but I suppose you can deal with that. I did not partake in any of the hostel's tours, but they seem to have a lot of interesting ones. If you're headed to Montenegro, this is not a bad place for a night or two!

This hostel is i a good location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However one of the staff members was extremely rude. She gave this big exasperated sigh whenever we asked a simple question and basically acted like we were a nuisance. The reception desk was rarely attended so this made it very difficult to book tours or get laundry done etc

We had a triple room in a separated building, which was alright except for the fact that the cleaning staff seems not to be informed about cleaning this location. Bathroom was wet and stinky, the sink in the kitchen leaks. So if you want it superclean think about it twice. But the level of privacy was very high, location perfect. Ps: Don't let the bedbugs bite you...;-)

Montenegro Hostel is a general backpacker hostel. I had a room on the second floor so I was not bothered by outside noise at night, but there was certainly plenty happening on the streets for those interested. The staff was very helpful and kind.

This is a good hostel but there is a lot of noise from the bars downstairs until after midnight and they appear to be very unorganised with their checkin\tour processes

The hostel was in a great location in the centre of Kotor and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was also clean and spacious with good lockers. On the downside, it was very hot when we were there (early September) which meant we had to have the noisy air-con unit on during the night. In cooler weather it should be peaceful though.

great location (in the middle of the old town) very easy to find. common room not in the same house as our dorm (8 mixed ensuite, despite booking female dorm...) the kitchen was really dirty when we arrived, fridge was cleaned after two days but only it broke. staff might seem a bit unfriendly but that's just their mentality. we had good fun with them and would recommend for a short stay in kotor :)

The place is located in the old city with prices that are great! They have wonderful tours and are extremely helpful. If you're going to Kotor (which you should) then you want to stay here.

perfect location, stayed in an apartment which was just around the corner from the main reception. Couldn't fault this hostel.

Prime location!!!! That is this hostel's best feature without a doubt. It was not very clean (a lot of gross color and water build up in the shower and just generally a bit dirty), 2 out of the 3 staff members were good, and only one bathroom for about 20 people. When we arrived we discovered that our room that was supposed to have AC was actually 39 degrees C with no air ventilation. One cannot sleep in those conditions! Luckily they moved us to another room for our second night. Overall decent
