Best hostel we stayed in during our Eastern Europe travels. Top location - the private room overlooking the square with a view of the hills was perfect! Friendly staff. Would highly recommend!!
I really like the services of the hostel. Everything was clean and rooms were full equipment (even AC). I missed some atmosphere as common rooms weren't separate from the rooms and noise could affect the guests. The garden was also small and not prepared for socializing in there.

The staff was awesome! Good location and plenty of space to hang out at. Kotor was crowed with turist, but a nice stay! Diffently go 😃
This hostel was fine - good location in centre of town! However it didn't have a good common area and was quite hard to meet people, and staff always seemed to busy to help you. Also there are not enough bathrooms (1 between 10) and they are tiny. The 10 bed dorms are in a separate building to the reception and kitchen facilities which was annoying. However the rooms and bathrooms were clean and there is air con. Overall I had a good stay but with a few changes this hostel could be a lot better!
We had a generally good stay at Montenegro Hostel - the only huge issue is that there is not nearly enough toilets/bathrooms and some mornings I would have to wait for 3 minutes oe more just to use a toilet. The location is unbestable and the price is great! The woman who cleans and cooks is amazing, her 5€ dinners are delicious and amazing value! Shout out to Kokolo in reception, he was always smiling and welcoming, sorry we didn't get to say goodbye!
Great location, great atmosphere to meet others and definitely the only place to stay in Kotor. Extra points for Kokolo (coco loco) who went above and beyond what any staff member would be expected to do.
The location of the hostel was awesome but the directions there a bit confusing. We stayed in a dorm room in an extra building to which we got a key. The only drawback for me were that the padlocks on the lockers were in my opinion not secure enough and that the bathroom was a bit smelly because of the old pipes (according to the staff).
Good location and helpful staff. Only one toilet and one bathroom to share between way too many people. Wifi didn't work properly. Bedside lamp didn't work.
Great hostel in the old city centre. Great staff. Very tidy and clean.
Hostel has rooms separate to main reception which works out well. there isnt really a common room so best place to meet other backpackers is in ur room or reception area. room was nice and big with aircon. i really wanted to do one of the day tours and was told before i went they run pretty much every day but it didnt when i was there. one tip if u really want to go and no one is interested at this hostel ask at the other hostels in the old town if there is space on their trips.
Very nice hostel, beautiful location, helpful staff (although perhaps they could do with having more than one person on reception during peak times)
The staff here are amazing - so friendly and helpful and work incredibly hard. The place is cleaned constantly throughout the day time & excursions planned regularly to see the rest of what Montenegro has to offer. Facilities all good, location perfectly central (so don't expect peacefully quiet nights), air conditioning in the 2nd floor common room would be a bonus
Poorly organised. Only one bathroom (toilet and shower in the same room) for around 18 people per floor means you are always in for a wait for the bathroom. Staff refused to book my hostel stay in Budva in advance at their sister hostel assuring me there would be room if they booked it the night before. All hostels were fully booked when they attempting to book my place and so I had to take a hostel far outside budva old town. Don't expect much from staff
Average place, but good price and helpful staff.
Fantastic hostel located in the middle of the old town; kotor. The 2 guys on reception were great; highly recommend!!
Facilities and location are great! Was also nice to have the amenities like bike rental, kitchen, and AC, and the dinner they made each night (5euro) looked delicious and a good deal. The staff and atmosphere was okay. The two guys working the front desk seem hit and miss with information, but at least one was very friendly. Overall a nice stay for the price
A great hostel in the heart of the old town! The staffs were super friendly and nice (Kokolo is a gem :D)! The only downside is that there were too many people sharing one bathroom, but it was always clean :).
This was a great hostel to stay at! Perfect location in the old town. Easy to access everything you want to do in Kotor. The great staff, like Kokolo, will help you plan anything you'd like to do in the area. Kokolo is a fantastic host. Bring some earplugs for sleep. The old town has a lot of live music. If that doesn't bother you, it can actually be really nice to fall asleep to. Overall, one of my favorite hostels! I also stayed at their Podgorica location. Another great hostel!
Cocolo (Not sure how to spell it, appologies!) was delightful. He runs around doing everything he can to help you out and make your stay comfortable. The tour they do from here is really lovely, and he managed to sort out the hostels for my next destinations for me. I met loads of great people, and the rooms had air con which was much needed! A lovely stay, and a great price.
