Monteverde Backpackers Reviews

This is a nice quiet hostel, within walking distance of everything in town. The dorm room is simple but clean. Private room upstairs was very cosy with nice bright windows. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There are no keys for the room so bring a padlock for the lockers.

The bathroom was a little gross and the shower water would often run out of hot water before you ended the shower. But otherwise its a great location and the staff was very helpful. Nice perk to have breakfast included.

Spartan but cheerful place. OK when it comes to any port in a storm. And Monteverde is plenty stormy.

The hostel was the best we stayed at in Costa Rica. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and quiet hours at night for those early morning backpackers.

This hostel was relaxing, and when there were a bunch of people here - there was enough space for playing games and hanging out. There were quiet hours so we could get enough sleep and security all night. Staff was really helpful and knowledgeable, helping us to get anywhere and everywhere. Alonso went out of his way to make phone calls to reserve other hostels around CR also. The maid cleans everyday, and kitchen use was great. I recommend this place.

Backpacker’s Hostel Montevede was a little piece of home, in a cloud forest. This hostel run by Alonzo was a clean, comfortable and cozy house with the best private rooms available. Like all Backpackers you know your belongings are safe and all arrangements taken care of. The Kitchen was nice and the location as central as it gets. The real magic is the expertise and atmosphere created by Alonzo. He set up the best excursions and outings at the best prices. I have recommended Backpackers
