My name is Brandon Sims from Indiana. Alonzo the business operator is very helpful with anything you may need. I enjoyed playing cards with him in the lobby area of an evening and the fresh fruit he personally set out for us for breakfast. Comanche and Bob his two dogs made our stay feel even more like home. My next trip to Costa Rica will definitely include a stay at monteverde backpackers....can't wait.

I loved staying here, everything was so clean and located right in the center of town. Alonso was super friendly and took us to see the sunset which was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hostel, very close to the grocery store. GREAT HOT WATER. Cutest puppy / fluff ball ever! Can arrange a shuttle or take a bus for like $2 to ether Cloud Forrest. Not as glitzy as other Costa Rica Hostel network places, but still a very nice and comfortable stay. Someone did take a lot of our food, so labels would have been nice.

Good place to stay and just to get to Monteverde forest.... bus stop at front of hostel. Location in town,right by supermarket and soda. Great breakfast included in price.

Really friendly chilled place to stay. Great for a solo traveler. Nice and close to the supermarket, good information about tours and activities also.

I don't think I've ever given a perfect score to a hostel before. Alonso was awesome, the place was super clean and comfortable, someone on sight as security night and day, and the other staff members were all great as well. Can't beat the location, and Kimanchi (Alonso's dog) is enough to make the stay worth it.

Awesome hostel! GreAt friendly staff! Alonso is awesome and he does a great job at making.a friendly environment. The beds are pretty comfortable and the bathrooms are good. If you go to Montverde you should stay here!
