Montevideo Port Hostel Reviews

When we arrived the first day at 18.00 h. our beds weren't tidy yet. Next day, we should change from dorm to private room. Before we went out in the morning the staff said that everything would be ready when we came back. However, when we arrived that day at midnight, OUR ROOM WAS ALREADY OCCUPIED! We decided to leave the hostel after that. I have to add that some members of the staff were more worried about smoking cannabis and flirting with girls hosted than about the hostel. A 100% DISASTER!!

Staff were friendly and hostel was located close to historical centre of Montevideo. I had a 4 person room with private bathroom and both were in good condition and cleaned regularly. Hostel was securely locked at all times of the day. The group I was staying with walked home late at night and while we got home safely I could easily see how this could have been a mistake, so take a cab. Hostel was very quiet which was great for us as we'd had a very busy week in Buenos Aires prior to arrival.

the staff is really kind and the location is good, close to the market of the port in the old part of the city. the dorms are really comfortable but the twin room is small and unconfortable. it is a new hostel so they will have the time to fix these small problems.i would chooce another time this hostel.

great new hostel, great facilities, very clean and comfortable. Was good value for money, only a 5/10 minute walk to the city centre and 5 min from some great local restaurants and bars in the old city!
