When we arrived they had lost our booking/claimed to have never received it! There was no beds left and we were left to find our own accommodation at 8.30pm! Not helpful or very apologetic.

really stark, reallllllly stark. i just needed a place for the night, worked out fine. locations relatively close to the old town, so that's good.

This hostel has an excellent staf. Luis is all the day there for you to help you with whatever questions you have. Some facilities didn´t operate as they supposed to be, but fair enough it is really worth your money. Try to beat the King with pool billiards :)

Really beautiful hostel with high ceilings, great location right in old Montevideo- really welcoming staff (when I was there there was a group of women from the Dominican Republic that shared all this great food with us!). Shared kitchen space is great for getting to know people.

Rough area of Montevideo, our rooms door didn't shut, 3 of the 4 lockers in my 6 bed dorm had no doors on them.. The bar area filled up completely with non hostel guests every night. Not a great hostel.. Oh and the pool is a not free, $20 per go...

that time the hostel was fully packed an it is true that some things that were already repaired broke and of course charged or u$ 0.80 cents a record pool

Good location near the port and the historical part of MVD. Good personal, in particular Luis and the reception staff (nice building, clean community rooms, good sleeping rooms). Internet on each floors.

Interesting old building in great location. Room & facilities OK for price. Korean restaurant just down the hill is great.

More of a flop house

People smoking in dorms and corridors. Room smelt of stale tobacco. No hot water in shower. Breakfast was cold toast and coffee. Door could be forced open.

Perfect location in the old - historical part of Montevideo. Hostel has been just open and we were among the first guests. We have booked a room on "error fare", as owner told us and we had to agree about new price on the spot.
