This place was really great! Ariel and Fernando were very helpful with anything that I needed. Including practicing my spanish. They knew how to get to the beaches in town and what to do at night, but again be prepared to speak spanish. The facilities were nice and I would prefer a bit more clean but compared to other hostels this one shines. At one point my booking was mixed up and fernando made a special point to call the booking agent and get the price reduced. Quality service!

The staff was very helpful by making sure the desk was maned at 6am to help us get our taxi in the morning. The only thing we didnt like was that they left the breakfast food out ALL day.. it was not very hygienic and attracted a lot of flies in the kitchen. Also there is only one shower in the whole place. They need to clean everything more.

We requested a double private room with ensuite bathroom. The room had a double bed and twin bunk beds. We had the room to ourselves, but we had to go out of the room to get to our bathroom, which was tiny and had ants. While we were told to make ourselves at home, we found the kitchen to be disorganized and not necessarily clean. The refrigerator was very full, indicating that perhaps it needed to be cleaned out.

Ariel and the other members of the staff are terrific: polite, ethical and do everything they can to help you. There was some confusion because I booked for a double and got a whole 6 bed "private" dorm only for me and my girlfriend, but with no double bed. The room was so good, clean and well ventilated/lightned that it didn't bothered much. They have bikes for hire, but the U$5/hour are a bit too much for the not so well preserved bikes. Hostel surroundings are great for riding, though.
