Staying at Montmartre was an excellent choice. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the facilities were outstanding.

Well,to make it pretty simple and clear : this is probably the best hostel that I have stayed in. When I entered the hostel, Dusan really explained in detail all the best spots of Belgrade : either to eat, the best museums, the best cafés etc. He's a great story-telling guy and knows a lot about the city in which he lives. He puts you very confortable straightforward and won't deny a nice conversation about the recent history of Serbia.The familiar way he runs the hostel makes you feel home

This small hostel feels more like a home away from home. This isn't going to be the place for mass drinking games or loud parties within the hostel, but PERFECT for a rest; somewhere to rest your feet. Free welcome shot was 'warming' (haha) and the receptionist knowing who we were before we even said was a great start.

I very much recommend Montmartre Hostel. The staff here are wonderful in making sure you feel at home and have all the information you could possibly need to enjoy your stay in Belgrade. They let me check in early in the morning on my second visit and allowed me to store some of my belongings there whilst I travelled in Montenegro - both examples of the staff going out of their way to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible. The location is excellent and the place is absolutely spotless.

Out of the three hostels I stayed in Belgrade, this hostel is definitely the one I would recommend. For those who speak French, the owner is perfectly bilingual, and for those who do not, the staff is fluent in English :)

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff - and I met 3 or 4 different staff members during my stay. Really went out of their way to be welcoming, making coffee etc. I toured Eastern Europe for 3 weeks (staying in private rooms though, can't comment on dorms) and felt this was the best value hostel of my trip.

Excellent place!! Knowledgable and friendly service staff. I was staying for the night in Belgrade before going to Greece and they helped me make the best of my stay. I didn't realize Belgrade was such an awesome place and the staff definitely showed me that with their recommendations. I am changing my trip plans and not only will I go back to Montmartre but I will stay longer because BG deserves it and Montmartre provides the accommodations necessary for a great time!

The staff at Montmartre were outstanding! Were always going above and beyond to ensure that your stay in Belgrade was a great one. Offering site seeing suggestions, good-eats and night life...and it didn't stop there. Breakfast was prepared for you and you can't help but feel pampered!

Extremely friendly/helpful staff. Cozy living room encourages interaction with other guests. The private room was among the nicest I've ever stayed in in a hostel, with flat screen TV w/ cable, nice bedding, other amenities. (I had to mark down "facilities" because my en-suite shower backed up and weird air flow blew shower curtain all over me, making showering difficult.) Location is very central.
