The hostel was OK. Great big common areas, but the whole place had a weird smell.

A change machine for doing washing outside of office hours would be fantastic, and an extra power point in the double rooms, hard to run the heater and charge two phones, otherwise a great stay.

Very nice hostel. Nice TV room. Free computers offered with internet, but no wifi for your own, which for me was fine. Very clean and right in the city center.

Good location, although unless you really like walking long distances you probably need a car to get to the glacier view. The kitchen and living room were good. My problem was the blankets in the room were absolutely stinky. I noticed a smell in the room and thought it was the other backpackers but once I tried to bundle up I realized the blankets smelled like the last 50 people had sweated into it and it had never been washed. Also - no wifi, but free desktop usage.

Very good value! It is a 2-3 minute walk to everything! Great view for the glacier! Staff very helpful and pleasant! I would definitely stay there again!

Great hostel with an excellent location in Franz Josef! Very clean, free coffee & tea, spacious rooms and not expensive. Recommend this place to anyone as base to explore the beautiful glacier!

Fabulous and clean hostel, very well managed! Owner is respectful of customers, and the Atmosphere he created made it an enjoyable place to stay. Would definitely go back and will recommend to anyone passing through the area!

Very clean! Great location on the edge of town - close to walks, next to Blue Ice Bar (the most happening place in FJ). Parking available. Large kitchen and lounge room facilities. The hostel seemed to be busy with guests in the morning and evenings, but our upstairs room was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. My only wee complaint would be that there was no line to hang laundry on - only dryers.
