Nice dorm with proper bathrooms, beds and lockers. Very close to all the main party spots and half the price of most of the other places around the fullmoon period

Met lots of other people while staying here, it was nice to have a big group to go to suppoer and for drinks with. Its clean, fairly comfortable, an in an awesome location. We have no complaints.

Great location right in the heart of haad rin. only a few minutes walk to the pier and beach. Many restaurants right near by. Good beds, individual power outlets, and individual fans. The dorm is one big room with two shared bathrooms. Funky bar downstairs with TVs, lots of drinks, and food. The whole hostel has a pink Playboy theme to it, a little over the top but fun.

Very good, staff friendly and a really good laugh. Social was brilliant too! Would stay again

If you're into all the parties on Koh Pha-Ngan, then the Moonstone Hostel is a nice place to stay. Cheap, clean and lots of party people sleeping in a 20 bed dorm with pink interior. The location is not very close to the moon parties, but it's a 5 minutes walk to the beach (bars).

Great hostel, when I first walked in it seemed really cramped but the beds were comfortable, room was cleaned everyday the staff were friendly the pad thai was the best on the island. Everyone staying for the half moon were amazing what a group of people all who ive kept in touch with on facebook and even moved on with 3 people i am a solo traveler i guess it depends on the people staying there at the time but i had so much fun.

The Swiss manager was great, quite helpful

I stayed at this place 4 nights for fullmoonparty and it was a really good choice. not far from the beach but at night a quiet place to get some sleep. we were a good group in there, had lots of parties together and the atmosphere of the room with sofa and all the pink colour is really nice. the owner chris is good guy, trying to help if there is any problem. would definitely recommend this place and will come back for the next party!

If you are on a budget, definitely the place to stay! And the 24people-dorm is not as bad as it sounds, specially during the "non-full-moon-periode" the place is quite silent. The english of the receptionist is quite hard to understand but i'm sure if you need, you can also get in the hostel owner, a franco-swiss, in. Internet is working fine.If you are looking for a bed for cheap price in Haad-Rin go there!

The dorm is nicely done with a fan and light over every bed. I stayed with my boyfriend and they even has double bunks for couples. There are secure lockers, and the dorm and washrooms are fairly clean. A short walk from the pier & a short walk from sunrise beach makes for a great location!

I love the interior decoration! Crazy pinks and playboy bunnies. Nice work. Place is very clean and you get lockers. Very well air conditioned with fans and air conditioner. There are even fans in the bathroom, where you will also receive shampoo and soap. Had a great stay

con: The English skills of the staff were really poor. The common area is really small and right next to reception so it is no wonder there isn't any nice party/backpacker atmosphere pro: Everything is pretty new and stylish I found the breakfast really good

Moonstone was absolutely awesome. Facilities were great and clean and it had pretty much everything you needed. Staff were very friendly, especially the owner, Chris. I'd most definitely want to stay there again. Best!

This is a great hostel. It is less than five minutes' walk from the beach, in the centre of Haadrin village. The beds are large and comfortable and each has a light, a plug and a small fan right next to it. It has a nice restaurant and sitting area downstairs with shisha - half indoors, half outdoors. Still, people were more likely to meet and strike up a conversation upstairs in the dorm than in the common area.

I would not recommend staying here if you want to sleep at night. I had a terrible sleep, with drunk people coming into the room and turning the lights on 5 times during the night an having a loud conversation. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

We enjoyed our stay at moonstone, wasn't too sure on all the pink and the playboy stuff at first but in the end didn't mind it at all. The dorm room is kept clean and has all the facillities you require. We've been travelling 3months now and found this to be the best dorm room we've stayed in... even got a double bed.

Great place to stay, big beds in a dorm style and very often fun people rolling through.

Beds were a little too close together but other than that we had a great time here. Very accommodating staff and super friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Really impressed with moonstone, very clean and even though it is a 20 bed dorm you feel very comfortable and theres alot of little touches that make it different (individual fans above the bed) Would stay here again!
