Great place to stay loved the common areas, a great place to meet and chat with other travelers. The owners were super helpful, even trying to find me another place to stay when I decided that I wanted another night in Nara. The walls are thin, so bring along a pair of ear plugs just in case of snorers.
The staff was really friendly and we enjoyed our stay there. The shower and toilets were clean. But there were some things we didn´t know before: You are not allowed to stay at the hostel between 10.30 a.m. to 16.00 p.m.; the toilets in the upper floors were not in use; We booked the female dorm-room. This was the only room you were not allowed to close or lock because there was the emergency exit (there was another door after a short corridor, but this one was unlockable too).
nice hostel with friendly staff and good beds
Good location, not far from JR stn. Quiet and clean. Good for relax after travel. Also, staff is friendly.

So close to the station, very convenient. Staff were very friendly.
A perfect place to stay at in Nikko! Will definitely stay there if I will ever go back to Nikko again :)
Friendly and very helpful staff! Great location!
What a hole, there was no running water on my floor, it was dank and grungy, there was no atmosphere whatsoever but what really set it apart were the lock outs. You were locked out of the entire building from 10.30 till 4 and the only shower in the building I could access seemed to be locked for most of the day.
It was a nice stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms, showers and toilets are clean. Some parts are under construction, but strangely it didn't disturb me.
Pretty good hostel. I can't fault it on anything apart from the social scene as most travellers were slightly older and not that sociable. Also the fact that lights out were at 11pm didn't really help. Other than that the dorm was great. Bathroom was a bit grimey but not too bad at all. Good location - only 5-7 min walk from Nagano station.
The location was great, hostel workers were friendly and helpful, bed comfortable, near a good and cheap ramen place. Downsides was the kitchen was a bit cramped and most of the bathrooms or showers were out of order. You also HAD to out of the building between 11am and 4pm. Which was strange and unhelpful.
Our stay here was great but mainly because of the people we met! For the amount we were paying, the place was pretty run down and dusty. It was cold, regardless of the 200yen per night heating fee they add on when you arrive. It is stated in the advertisement but just a warning in case you missed it - you are locked out between 10:30 and 4pm no exceptions! A strange rule that can be pretty inconvenient. However the staff are very kind and super helpful and I liked the common area.
Good place to stay for some days. Big living-room, comfortable beds, many showers and restrooms, lockers, kitchen, drying room etc. People are very friendly and helpful. There are many rules but most of them are reasonable :). A really disadvantache is, that you have to leave the Hostel at 10:30, every Day!
Conveniently located near Nagano Station and has all the facilities you need. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again next time!
Great place located close to the station. The guy that works there is a certified legend!!!!

The place felt like the building used to be a hotel, everything was OK/good in terms of location/facilities, but the atmosphere overall was... 'dated' for want of a better way to put it.
