The Hotel was clean and well located, with a good value for money. However the rooms are really small and our heater was noisy. The price is not exactly the one you see on this site, because there is 20% of taxes included. This should appears on Hostel World when we make the reservations.....

We did not sleep at all, due to a central heating system making a lot of noise and a very uncomfortable bed. We went to the front desk to tell them about it and tell that we would like our money back for the coming days, so we could go somewhere else. Instead they offered us a different room, which turned out to be the same room at a different floor. We decided to leave anyway, because we didn't want this to ruin our stay in New York, but it is defenitely not a place I would reccomend anyone!

Wifi was not available during my stay and one of the staffs was outrightly unhelpful. The hall and the room were not well lit enough and gave an eerie feeling. Otherwise everything is fine.

The hostel was really basic but clean and quiet. The value for money was fine in a city like NYC between Xmas and new year. the location is fine, 15min from time square with the subway. Lot of restaurants, dinners, shops in the area. The area is secure and nice. I recommend this hostel but don't search for comfort.

The place is alright & in a rather quiet part of NYC felt very safe. Would be nice to have chairs or a sofa to sit on when using the wifi in the lobby as we were sat on the concrete floors in December weather

Very good hostel, if you're not hurry to get to midtown or downtown, this is the place, prices are a little bit cheaper than midtown hostels, but be aware that you're going to take about 30 minutes to travel to downtown. Two blocks from the 1 subway, wich is good, and you can get to times square in about 20 minutes. Clean and safe location, i would go back there in my next travels.

We loved our stay!! The value for money is excellent, for the price of a hostel you get hotel quality. Location was very good, a 2 min walk to the subway and a 10 min ride downtown. The staff was so nice, we paid for a shared bathroom and for no cost they gave us a private bathroom because, quote: "we do that sometimes to make our costumers happy". The room and bathroom was really clean and they cleand it every day. The only thing bad I could say is that walls are kind of thin and we could hear people next

The place was - compared to its price - absolutely okay. What bothered me most was that there was almost no daylight in the room, that the place was very very badly soundproofed and that security level was very very low. The owner was very friendly! With a little bit of colour on the walls the place could become much more friendly as well ;-)

The location is great, very easy to get to all the attractions. Some really good restaurants close by that are not too expensive. Also a nice grocery store that has a great selection really close by. The only thing that we were dissapointed in was the kitchen was not equiped with anything. Overall good value for your money in New York.

It was clean enough and in a good enough location but the walls are paper thin and people are coming in, blasting tv and slamming doors all hours of the day and night.

There are not wi-fi in the rooms. There is only on the small lobby. Despite the goodwill of the attendants, the manager is stupid. Stay away.

Just got back from our NYC vacation on Wednesday the building is a typical NYC building, cute, small, and comfy. There was someone always at the recpetion desk I rated high on Location. I loved the area of town it was in, close to central park and the subway. Near many restraunts and markets. If you are looking for downtown this is not the place, however 15 min on the subway, you're there! Building was clean and twoel changed daily. Bed very uncomfortable and flat pillows! Would recommed

Check-in was easy. The room appeared simple and clean, until it was time to go to sleep, we realized that the door to the hallway left a crack of about an inch and a half from the middle of the door to the floor. We had to hang a pair of pants to keep the light from coming in. The lavatory sink had a major leak, so most of the water that went down the drain also went out the pipe and onto the floor. The carpet in the room was in very poor condition. The shower drained onto the bath's floor.
