It is a good and clean hostel. The only problem is that the internet just works at the lounge and when I was there for two nights there was a huge rat in the lounge. However, after I've made a complain, they called someone to fix it. But the internet should work in the rooms.

Good hostel with clean bathrooms but not a great place to meet people. Staff was friendly but not very informative. Location is good. Be prepared: prices on hostelworld do not include the TAX.

The Hostel is clean and in a good location. The wifi didn't work for me in the room, but in the lobby the connection is good.

Good location in west harlem. Close to red line 1 subway. Rooms are clean, without a/c. I was there in early may so no problem, but if someone is going there for a summer it might be than. They have luggage room and free wifi. Not a typical hostel, more like 1 star hotel:)

Very basic but clean. Paper-thin walls, but no noise from the street. Good value for money.

The room was small but it was clean, reasonably priced (for Manhattan) and the location was GREAT. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Although the location is nw of central park, the underground station is really close. Train1 stops there which is one of the main lines. In the corner there is the Absolut Bagel where you can eat delicious bagels. Hudson river is near, the area is safe because the Columbia University is nearby. It is a family area, so the party is rather in the south, however, trains go all night. The hotel is a cheap one, the interior is similar like you would have in London. Really nice staff.

Nice place, but staff doesn\'t have change for cash?? I had to hassle them for my change. Otherwise a great place & I\'d stay there again.

Great lobby, felt very secure, excellent and convenient location. Bathrooms were kept clean, space was well kept. Staff were always friendly and helpful. However, website advertised free breakfast on booking of the hostel and this was not available when we stayed.

I got a private room for my boyfriend and I when we went to visit Columbia U. Considering it was half the cost of what a hotel with all other basics the same, it was a good deal. The issues- the TV had a weird issue with getting stuck on certain channels (not too important to me but annoyed my boyfriend), the bed was on the hard side, and the walls were pretty thin. I\'m a lighter sleeper but there wasn\'t any noise so loud I couldn\'t sleep. If I didn\'t sleep, it was because of the bed.

This was a nice basic hostel to stay in. Very close to the subway, as well as location to shops/restaurants. If you're looking for budget accom with easy links to Manhattan this is the place for you

There were a few nights where I had people running and yelling through the motel at all hours of the early morning, I didn't feel I could make a complaint to the front desk staff as they were quite young and possible couldn't do a lot about it all...but other than that it was comfortable and so close to everything!

A good hotel for that prize. Not super cosy cause there were no furnish and plastic cover on all mattresses, but that was the great thing cause I understood it was to eliminate every chance for bed bugs to invade. Location OK, not difficult to find nor long walk from metro station. The staff will not be butlers one day but very friendly and natural. You get the help you ask for. Security- unlocked doors at all times and a lonely girl in reception hardly looking up. Old locks on bedrooms....
