This place was awesome. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere with lots of chilling space to meet people.. Nice rooms and decently comfortable beds. Free wifi was a bonus and the location was ideal! So central. Also offer surf and bike rentals and with the great staff you can get tons of tips of what to do and where to go. Kitchen was minimally stocked with supplies and could have been cleaner but nothing terrible. I'll be back!
The atmosphere was the best I've ever seen in a backpackers. Almost every evening was partying at the backyard tables. At every time of the day (& night) people go chill at the beach and to the mount which are only a few steps away. Supermarkets are quite far (you need a car or take the bus), but little groceries are around it, as well as a tasty & good value fish&chips, and a good bar. The only disappointing fact was that they announced surf lessons in the description, and there was none.
Cool place. Good value for your money. Bathrooms should be cleaned more often. Very close to the beach. Friendly staff
This is by FAR the best hostel I have stayed at. The staff is super friendly and despite what some of the other comments say about being "dirty" I can say I did not share the same experience. It was not noisy either. You are paying $25-30 for a hostel, don't expect Buckingham Palace and you will have the time of your life.
