Priyani is a very polite hostess. The house is located on a quiet street, you can find a brilliant place to eat just around the corner called Lilac. There are always a bunch of cats roaming around the house which are pretty friendly. The washroom is tidy and well equipped (no hot water, but you don't need it in Colombo). The room is basic and clean. The best part is it feels independent. You get your sets of keys for the front gate, the main door and the one for your room. Overall, it's worth.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The internet is 4G and I'm told by other travelers the fastest they'd seen in Sri Lanka. The rooms are clean and have a fridge and set of drawers where you can lock things. There are screens on all of the windows which helps with the bugs as well as bars on the windows. The hostel is just 5 minutes to a grocery store. I wasn't crazy about Mt Lavinia itself, but that says more about the town than the hostel. Takes about 90-100 mins from airport by taxi.
