This is a quiet hostel with a nice location near to the supermarket, bars, and good restaurants. The staff is super friendly, and can help you navigate the city very well. The only issues were the kitchen (very small), and the noise early in the morning. The hostel also helps set up a really cool tour of Los Nevados park on the back of a milkman's truck.

Don't be mislead! I booked a single room 'with private ensuite'. It doesn't exist. Mountain is TWO houses. The one with reception looks better. The other is crappy - you hear everything going on in the house through the walls (noisy Colomb. permanent residents), they don't clean on sundays so went the whole weekend with no toilet paper and bins overflowing with other people's excrement, my stuff was stolen from the fridge. Some staff helpful re organising trips, but manager rude. Overall depressing.

We stayed for 6 nights and found a hostel infested with flying termites, no hot water, rude staff, and misleading tours and other info. The hostel roof is infested with termites that bite harshly (the owner told us). No hot shower for 6 nights; for first 2 days staff lied about the problem. Overflowing and unclean toilets. The tours are expensive and expect to stand around for hours. Sent to the bus station to catch a bus that didn't exist. Ignored by many of the staff. Worst hostel in 3 months.

Dvd collection is all scratched, and the kitchen is cramped, but the attached restaurant is awesome and staff are first-class.

It was good, nice breakfast, helpful staff...one thing to note though, they have two different buildings (I believe they used to be two different hostels that merged) and only one of them has a computer you can use for internet, though both have wifi...

The staff was very helpfull and had patience when I asked a few questions about the hostel and the town. The staff always had a smile and kept the hostel clean. Wallking distance to markets, restaurants and transportation. Some staff members speak some English and it is in a residential area very quiet. This is one place I would stay again and recommend. We stayed in the newer hostel this hostel has two houses the other one is 3 house down on same street.
