Great base location for exploring the national park. Knowledge staff and a lot of info on the walls for heading out and about. Off street parking too, which in such a small place doesn't matter so much, apart from not having you car sprayed with grit by the occasional lorry. Good atmosphere too, even with it being quiet in the depths of winter. Would probably be a great spot in the summer too.

A very nice hostel, cosy and warm. In general the rooms and facilities were clean, just some cooking utensils were not properly cleaned. Greatest problem was the internet: The prices were just unreasonable. In other places you get free WiFi, there you had to pay 5 $ for less than a day. Staff was nices and helpful.

Great hostel in beautiful spot. Clean and comfortable. Loved it.

Really lovely, cosy hostel with very nice hosts, both Bob and a guy whose name we didn't get! Staff are also very knowledgable about what to do in the area. Beds were comfy and warm, showers were hot and clean, kitchen was large, clean and well equipped, and the lounge was a lovely place to relax. Loved hearing the Keas. Hostel was quite quiet, but everything we normally look for in a hostel, and definitely one of the better we have stayed in too :)

I appreciated the heat pumps! My wet clothes were dry after a few hours hung by the bed - great! And the host was energetic and helpful.

Good place to stay in Arthurs Pass. There was a really nice lounge to relax in when the weather was bad. Quite close to the all the walks. Staff were friendly and helpful in giving information about where to buy things and what to do. For the private rooms you had to go back outside to get into the kitchen or bathrooms which was a bit annoying in the cold but otherwise a good place to stay.
