I checked in late so I had to collect the key from the bar and they said to pay in the morning. I got to my room and my bed had NO sheets on it with nobody around for me to contact i had to raid the linen cupboard myself.. disgrace! I also wanted to check out early 7am which is reasonable but there nobody around till 830am but the cleaner. I then had to speak to the manager on the phone (expecting me to wait till 830 and miss my train) and use the chip and pin machine myself to pay. ATROCIOUS!!

Enjoyed my stay here, the staff were the best I have come across so far, they remembered my name 2 days after seeing me as well. They helped whenever I had a query. Would stay here again.

Good location and one of the best prices you'll find in that area of Sydney but there's not much of a social scene going on in the hostel since there's not really a good common area. The cleanliness was alright except the part where they didn't have paper towels or hand dryers in any of the bathroom. If you're just looking for somewhere to sleep for cheap this is a good choice.

I stayed in this hostel for almost 2 months, I'm going now. I really liked this hostel, the location is great, enough pub and clubs near if you wanna go out, and a lot chipper that on king cross. made great friends. I think the living area inside will fell a little small coming winter, The hostel was pretty clean and some of the staff members are very helpful There is a computer with free internet that you have to share, other wise is 5 dollars, but if you're lucky they won't disconnect you

Good place for the price. Cheapest I could find, so didn't expect much. It did the job.

I stayed in this hostel for a weekend and it wasn't too bad, except that our room had to large wet patches on the floor and they were going moldy. The smell was horrible. The staff were really nice though and I liked the facilities.

this hostel wasn't very good, tbh. the reception keeps really short hours (thankfully i was purely accidentally able to pay the cleaner before i left at 7.30am), the room was hot, stinky and loud (no aircon in middle of summer, so window open and therefore traffic noise) and the entire place just felt really seedy. definitely not worth $30/night. on the upside though, the security was good - lockers provided - and it's within about 3 minutes walk of central station. well-placed but shoddy.

for internet you have to pay 5$ per day, breakfast was awful, the mattress was hard like wood, in the room you have a big fun that makes very loud noise, impossible to sleep with it on and if you turn it off it's too warm for sleeping. do not go there please!!!! MERDAAAAAAA

Horrible... It was dirty, smelly, old... The staff tried hard to not be friendly!!! They were not nice. Everything we asked, they did with a very bad face and only if we really insisted on ot..... I'd never stay there again.

On the day we arrived the guy at the reception was very unfriendly. Oven and 2/4 cooktop were not working.

The hostel was old and not 100% clean but it was only a one night stop for me, so that wasn't a big deal. The location is good and it's pretty easy to find.

Staying here was definitely the worst experience I have had as a backpacker. I booked a four bed room for four people. Firstly, the bloke at the front counter tried to significantly overcharge us. Then when we went into the room, there was only 3 beds. When I complained and asked to move, he said it was my fault; I had apparently booked a three bed room. When I proved him wrong, he still maintained it was my fault. His solution was to give us a matress. The matress never came. DO NOT STAY HERE.

At 1st when i seen this hostel i wasnt impressed.... Its not worth the money as i feel you are only paying for the location... However its clean, has hot water, and lockers. The location is great and the little kitchen is also good.

The hostel has a good location but the value for money isn't good. The rooms were really dirty and the beds were gross with stains from years ago. The bathrooms were ok though. The staff was very unfriendly and not interested in helping or making the stay better. The free breakfast was handy. There was one computer with internet access to use for free but it was occupied most of the times. No hostel to stay in for a day or two.

Good location. Not enough ventilation causing the place to be a little stuffy. Could use some ventilation fans to improve air circulation.
