Mr. Panda was an awesome hostel. The staff was extremely helpful with suggesting things to do and how to get there. Plus, the local cuisine is amazing!! They also have quite a few tours available for lots of places. Fantastic stay!! Exceptionally clean and very comfortable.

We had a great stay at Mr Panda hostel, first of all thanks to the staff who were not only helpful and speaking great english, but also extremely friendly. The room was perfectly clean and the hostel also provides good and affordable breakfast . Daytrips and activities are also organized to the panda center, Leshan, or the Sichuan opera, for a honest amount of money. I would definitely go there again.

The hostel was okay. Decent location but the tour to the pandas was not worth the money. The driver showed up 45 minutes late and wanted us to leave the pandas after only an hour -- definitely see the pandas and Leshan on your own. The restaurant was out of most food. The staff were nice as were the people staying there. My room was just off the dining/common room/reception area, making it a little loud at times. No WiFi in the rooms but it works well in the common area. Hot water was great.

Mr Panda seemed like a very relaxed hostel. It was a hostel with a friendly social atmosphere but not a party all night hostel. The staff and Mr Panda are very helpful and friendly and answred any questions we had. I also enjoyed the free hotpot party!

Great staff, very helpful and speak good English. Mr. Panda is cool to hang out with. He took me to an awesome hot pot place and drank with me each night :-) He will go out of his way to make sure your stay is comfortable. Location is close to metro and lots of restaurants. They have dumpling night, which is better than the other dumpling nights in hostels across China. I've stayed in 100+ hostels and this one was one of the best.

Mr.Panda is a great hostel, the owner and his employess are very helpful and try their best to make your stay with them an enjoyable time. They organize different tours throughout Chengdu, including the Panda excursion, the Sichuan opera, Leshan Big Buddah trip. The hostel is quite clean, and in a great location close to the metro. Couldn't ask for a better stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mr. Panda! The staff at Mr. Panda’s Hostel has some of the best English I have heard since moving here 3 years ago. They were helpful, courteous, and overall very kind. Another big plus was that the bed in our room was very comfortable. We had a real comforter and mattress, which is rare in China. The only downside is that they have a loud communal hairdryer which patrons can use at ANY time of day, including 1:00 in the morning! It would be great if the hostel set time limits

Mr Panda is a great option in Chengdu. Staff are good in english and always planning activities and helping you. We booked a double room which was clean, quiet, with all the facilities and a good price. You can also have dinner there at reasonable prices. They have all sort of chinese games to keep you amused. Good choice!!

We stayed at MR panda Hostel for a total of 5 nights. And we were very satisfied with the rooms and especially with the great staff working there, they are all very friendly and want to help out as much as possible! If you have any problems regarding tickets and so on just ask MR Panda (the owner) he is more than happy to help you out and get it sorted. You should try to stay there during a Saturday and enjoy the free dumpling party which is very good! I strongly recommend this Hostelto anyone

Awesome! The staff are brilliant, they have great English and will help you with everything from buying tickets, to understanding how to play MahJohng! Mr Panda is a real character and has very helpful recommendations about things to see and do. The room was clean, the hostel has good facilities, they serve good food. The dumpling party was fun and delicious. They also run many tours from the hostel including the panda breeding center and Leshan. The best hostel in Chengdu.

I stay at Mr.Panda Hostel for 4 days. I left for hiking in Mt Emei in the middle and forgot to make reservation for dorm when I got back. When i returned there was no room available. Mr. Panda let me stay for free in another room near the common area. He was so nice about it and even apologized to me even though it was my mistake. Also I wanted to go to Xian but I was told at the ticket office there were no tickets until next month. Mr. Panda also arranged a ticket for when I came back from Emei

These Guys are awesome. Hands down best hostel I've ever stayed in. Make sure you go to one of Mr Panda's dumpling parties or hot pot nights- there are friend for the making ;). The vibe of this place was so cool. I left after 7 days, I was supposed to stay for three. Its one of those hostels where everything just works and makes travellers feel so comfortable, the toilets: clean, the showers: clean: the pillows: big.

Literally THE BEST HOSTEL I've ever stayed in; Mr. Panda's Hostel is Amazing. Everything about my stay was fantastic. I stayed in a four bed room with a private bathroom, with a shower some towels, toilet paper, and the bedroom has large storage wardrobe which can be used with whatever lock you bring. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, energy, friendly, and has higher ceilings. The lounges are so great with a pillow filled dvd room, a study nook, computer corner, Foosball, and dining.

This place is near the center of chengdu and very close to wenshuyuan subway station so getting around was very convenient. The owner is very cool and invited me out for drinks although I was too exhausted to take him up on the offer. My only complaint is the slowness of the internet although this might be a Chengdu thing rather than the fault of the hostel.

The staff was super helpful, like really wanted to make sure that everything went well for us. We had to make a somewhat confusing room change request, and the staff dealt with it without any problems. If I could offer one tip, I would say get the room with two twin beds instead of the one double bed. The beds are smaller, but the room is MUCH bigger.

This place is really conveniently located near the center of the city so there are lots of shops, restaurants, banks, and street vendors nearby. It's also near 2 subway stops so it's pretty easy to get places. I got a room with an ensuite bathroom, although not all rooms have this. (Ask for room 201, 4 bedroom mixed if it's available). The owner, Mr. Panda is really cool to talk to and knows a lot about this area. He can also help arrange trips to Jiuzhaigou and other nearby attractions.
