Staff and location is good, bathroom is clean, but the room and kitchen is very simple, only one sink in the house...

Great location, great staff, nice kitchen and everyone was friendly, but the dorm we stayed in was two sofas and four beds in a room with massive windows and no curtains. We were told to leave the windows open at all times and leave all our stuff next to our beds, which posed a serious theft risk. The main problem is that our dorm was also the common room and the access to another room.

My kind of place! Real chilled out. It's basic but with everything you need. Very clean. The great staff seem to know everything about the city (ask about the secret tunnels). Good group of people here and the way the hostel is set up makes it very easy to socialize. Great location too.

Good location. Nice staff. But just an awful and dirty place. We were afraid to take a shower... Never again.

Amazing staff, perfect location

The 5-bed dorms were actually 3 pallets in a living room + a cot + couch, but this was fine. Only problem was that there was only one bathroom for the 10+ people in the place, which meant sometimes you had to wait a while.

Awesome. Great staff, clean, comfortable and location can't be better. I've been coming to Tallinn every summer for 4 years and been to lots of hostels. This is the best price/quality. Luke the owner really made our stay. He has been living in Tallinn for years and knows all the best places to eat, party and see. What a character. The other guests were really cool too. This is the perfect hostel if you want to meet people and hang out, plus see all the places the tourists overlook. STAY HERE!

I recognize this hostel as best hostel ever. It is perfect location in old city, and close to chartering from the ferries and nearby nightlife. I also recognize the outside at this property. It is very nice place to make the relaxation and enjoy the sunny. - Stanley

Very basic, indeed. But the atmosphere is nice, very relaxed. It somehow felt like staying at a friends' place. Go there, if you want a non touristy experience!

It is really good little place. Little bit hard to find and not reception always. Location is too really good in nice part of old Tallinn and inside house it is clean. It was fun to go out with the owner and he as well knows much about hidden Tallinn. Only thing is there is no oven if you want to make bake food..but rest of kitchen is works and have everything. Very good for the price and I enjoyed to stay here.)))

Like that beer commercial said "miles away from ordinary". Leave your ideas of hostels at the door. You wontfind guys in sleeveless shirts pplaying drinking games yelling all night and people used to commercial places might complain like fools. Basic and relaxed..The owner isn't Japanese but you might get an unplanned lesson in Asian martial arts. :D I just got back to Estonia from living in Australia and stayed at heaps of hostels there so I can tell you that this one is unique and worth it.

Nice cheap little place with a friendly staff. It's small and intimate, in some ways more of a couch-surfing place than your typical hostel, but it's conveniently located (in Old Town and really close to the ferry terminals) and definitely a good value. The staff was very accommodating, they reached out ahead of time and waited for us late as we had to arrive past typical check-in hours.
