Dorms were very squashy, not enough room for people to get around and get ready in the morning. The beds were also really squeaky, too scared to even scratch my nose. Mattress on the bottom bunk were really old could feel the springs through it. The toilets constantly reeked of piss and the girls showers were also very small and had little privacy. Despite all that the hostel had a great atmosphere in the common room great people stay here and the food is cheap and delicious
This place oozed backpackers, the majority of people there were Aussies and it had that backpacker smell. Had a fun bar attached and was in a great location. If you're here to hit the slopes then this place is perfect. Free wifi included xD
Nice hostel with great staff. Affordable and right in the heart of eco-land. Close to Hakuba 47 and Happo-one with free shuttles running through the morning. Bar downstairs where not only guests drink, good meeting place to start a night out.
Good hostel for snowboarding in the Hakuba region - bus to all the resorts very close, 30 second walk. Happy hour and well priced meals too. If your looking to snowboard and stay cheap - this is the place. Not very Japanesy though just so you know.

Echoland aka Hakuba's party village. This hostel is a pretty cool place; quite small with a great atmosphere. The bar/common room is a great place to hang out and meet people. Rooms are rather smaller (considering snowboard equipment takes so much space haha). Drying room in the basement is a huge plus! Met some great people in the hostel and would def stay here again. Highly recommend it :)
Great place to stay, although you'll need to bus to the mountains. Staff were great and helped me sort out gear hire and a lesson really quickly. Great bar with good meals although it does mean that you can't drink your own stuff in the common areas. Echoland is a really nice, quaint place to stay. I would stay again.
