Good location. Staff was helpful. Older building though so cold in the hallways and a bit run down. Also rooms are pretty small so difficult to move around with baggage and people. Good bar with lots of people.
The skiing was great, and this has to be the cheapest place to stay in town. The room was ok in size (since there was a separate gear room downstairs) but had not been well taken care of. There was mold growing on all the windows, though the bathroom wasn't as gross as you would expect. The only real common area is a bar, which unfortunately means no BYO. Staff has really limited hours but was helpful when they were around. You can walk to Happo One!
I've stayed in nicer hostels, I've stayed in more interesting hostels, I've stayed in far worse hostels. This was about what I expected. The employees working the bar/kitchen were absolutely wonderful. We had some great conversations. It was lively and quite fun and I would completely recommend it to any solo travelers. The kitchen was a bit lacking in utensils and the oven wasn't big enough to fit one of the pizzas bought from the convenience store next door. But other than that it was lovely.
Staff are fine, but don't expect traditional Japanese hospitality and BRING A TOWEL. Attracts some great travellers but.
Great location and great place to stay if you want to party. Close to bars etc. draws a very young crowd. Not suitable for families. Cleanliness and facilities are poor but are good value for money

It's the cheapest hostel you can find in Hakuba. No lockers in the room. The kitchen is small. Good room for snowboards/skies and to dry the clothes.
