I really enjoyed my night here. It was peaceful and comfortable. My only negatives were the house itself is oddly wedged between businesses and not the best place to travel to and from late at night, but the interior was surpringly beautiful. Also, there was no hot water for my morning shower. But all in all if I returned to Taipei, I would stay there again.

Great experience living in Mudan House. Very nice staff and comfortable room. The breakfast prepared by "ar-go" is great. Best decision I made stayed in Taiwan!

Stayed 6 nights. The hostel was very beautifully decorated and clean, felt like new. Breakfast is excellent! My room (401) was very spacious and also had a separate space for clothes and a desk. The only negative was that there were some crawling bugs living in this room which was a bit icky... Caught a few each day... Still, didn't complain cause maybe it's the same all around Taiwan during hot seasons and otherwise the room was very clean. :) Over all I had a pleasant stay here. Thank you!

The Hostel is right in the middle of a night market. It is so convenient. The place is beautiful and clean. I love returning to it everynight. Every morning, breakfast is provided and prepared for us individually. It made my holiday in Taipei so lovely. It was a great place to stay and get to know new friends from all over the world. The staff are friendly and provides advice on places of interest in Taipei.

It was definitely a very homey atmosphere and the staff (which consisted of Doris and her family) were very nice. My friend and I (both girls) did feel like we were guests in someone house though. One time, we were in the common area to use the Wi-Fi connection late at night and the mom came down in her robe. She looked at us and the clock and asked us why we were down there so late. She wasn't being mean about it but we felt like we were teenagers getting busted by our parents!

My stay in MudanHouse was fantastic! The staff were warm and helpful and for a single room, I got a spacious bed, private bathroom, shower, desk and TV! Most of all, grandma's breakfast was amazing and with my early return flight, the staff were really helpful with my check out! Will definitely come again!

MudanHouse is a lovely and warm place to stay, with delicious breakfast. Thankyou Doris for helping us to keep our luggages when we were away from Taipei. We definitely will stay at MudanHouse again if we travel to Taipei. Just a little suggestion, the bed was kinda too small for 2 persons...:)

To be frank you cann't define Mudan House as a hostel, it's more like a B&B or homestay style hotel. The location is great, 30s walk to a local/non-tourisim night market. Bus/Metro stop/station nearby as well. The only thing I would like to mention is that the check in time is 4:00 pm.

It's beautifully decorated, convenient to an MRT station and the hostess/owner Doris and her family members are so welcoming. The breakfasts by Ma ni were a wonderful way to meet other guests.

An excellent hostel! Doris and Ming were incredibly friendly and helpful. Their aunty, ah Ko (as we were asked to call her) cooked us yummy breakfasts every morning and was always cheerful. The rooms were hotel-like, yet the whole place had a very homely feel to it. Just down the street and around the corner is the Dachioutou train station and the bus stop to the airport is also close by. The only thing it needs is a bigger sign outside the hostel as it wasn't so easy to find at night.
