MudanHouse is excellent in every way but especially the staff. What wonderful people! There is no other place I will stay in Taipei on future visits. It is easy access to the Metro, quiet area, great food around. The entire house has been decorated with great taste and is truly a beautiful home where one feels like they are a part of the family. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Incredibly friendly staff and excellent facilities including laundry, amazing breakfast, 5 min walk to MRT and convenient store.

It's a really wonderful and pleasant place, which really made our trip. just one thing is, more garbage cans would be better. it would be great if there is cleaning everyday, just to clean the garbage and make bed. but overall, i really really love the place and especially the people there.

Mudan House was a beautiful, intimate hostel. The family that owns it is really friendly and helpful. My stay was very pleasant and comfortable.

Room is clean. A little small without windows. Location is not far from most places. Taxi about 100-130 tw can make you travel to all night street and city center.

I stayed at Mudan House for five nights and it was great! Doris and her family were very welcoming -- inviting me to sit down for lunch with them when I arrived much too early my first day, lending me an umbrella for the rainy weather, and giving me great suggestions whenever I had any questions. The guesthouse has a great atmosphere -- nice furnishings, great bathroom! It definitely caters to more mature travelers who want to enjoy a cozy home than temporary shelter for young backpackers.

I would not recommend this Hostel to anyone who wants to be in the heart of the action in Taipei. The Hostel is way off the path ; it is 400 steps to get from Subway station to Hostel (plus 3 escalator rides), its 7 subway stops to get to the main entertainment district where the nightclubs and shopping are located, and its 3 subway stops just to get to the main terminal to go most places. There is really nothing located near the hostel, except small street food area (2 blocks east)

Returning bck to Taipei after venturing to south, eastern n central Taiwan, before heading bck home to Sg. My 3rd review on Mudan!!! 2Thumbs Up.... nvr doubts on thy svc n room quality. Even Auntie ask me to come bck ard New Year to see firework... will c abt tht ;) Thanks Doris for making me felt like at home ;)

Ths is my 2nd x staying at Mudan, n as usual, high quality room service. Doris and her family, still recall my last visit. Appreciate Doris concern during my stay as m not in good health on 1st few days in Taiwan. As of now, Mudan House is my 1st choice whenever m coming over for vacation in Taipei ;)

A lovely place to stay. It is quiet, secure and very clean with modern facilities. The location may seem a bit far from the city center, but actually the transport is very convenient, direct bus to the Palace Museum, and MRT is just a few minutes walking distance, more conveniently, the direct bus to the airport is only a couple of hundred meters away. The staff here are also very helpful and lovely. highly recommended.

i rarely say that things are amazing but mudan is AMAZING. i got a private room for 2 & everything was brilliant. there's only 3 floors and i got the one on the third floor. my room came with a brilliant looking decor and a toilet that was beyond amazing. hot water flowed and we had doors. just outside was a laundry machine and a dryer for all my washing n drying needs which was great as i packed light. doris and her family entertained us and provided us with free breakfast. what more can u ask

Will definitely go back to Mudan House again when I am in taipei! I love the concept of home cooked breakfast round a table with other guests you may meet. The rooms are decorated in a lovely way, very clean and comfortable. Doris and Thomas are also very helpful and friendly and every night, coming back to mudan house is like coming back home. (ps: the breakfast is also pretty healthy, with cut fruits and fruit juices to round off the meal):)
