Overall a great hostel, very communicative before we arrived. However we arrived past their normal opening hours, and the person who was supposed to be there to let us into the room was not there. We unfortunately ended up staying at a hotel across the street for the first night of our stay because of the miscommunication. However they did not charge us for the first night (many other places would have) and upgraded us to a private room with a balcony. We really appreciated that!

The Hostel is in the very city center and It can be a good place for short permanence. The building is really old and many window are broken so If you go there in the winter, like me, is going to be cold. Another bad thing is related to the noise. The hostel is situated on a main road and all the night you are going to hear people, cars and whatever happen in Telaviv.

very helpful staff and god location but apart from that it's really poor hostel. Good for real backpackers but not for average turists.

Most of all I liked the location of the hostel. He is on the popular street very close to the sea. Staff wonderful. I enjoyed it, the only thing that may not like the rest it's noise. The street constantly full of life. I'm so tired of the day that I was not hurt, but people are different. Another thing is parking in front of my balcony. I also did not interfere even amused that every morning you stare at a bunch of people. You greet them and smile) In general, I would recommend this hostel)

You need EARPLUGS. This place is right in the heart of the nightlife, the noise is infernal. Other than that, it's a bit rundown but nice. Location is excellent, a short walk to the beach and to Dizengoff area. Also, they do have free wifi internet even though they don't advertise it here. Fridge for food, locks in doors, caretaker will wait for you and open the door if you arrive in the middle of the night. Just remember the earplugs, and maybe also sleeping mask to cover your eyes from the sun

Mugraby Hostel is located perfectly: Carmel market just around the corner, three minutes to the beach and many stores and restaurants just on the same street. It felt very secure because they have a code for entering the main door. Also, I think this is the only hostel were the price for a FEMALE dorm room is actually less than for a mixed dorm. :) The only negative thing: in this very specific room I stayed in, it sounded like the street was running right through it...

Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich und die Lage ist toll. Allerdings ist die Einrichtung sehr spartanisch, die Hygiene so lala und ich weiss nicht, ob es Handtuecher zum Ausleihen gibt... Alles in allem etwas ernuechternd!

Good hostel. Security is excellent with code-locked entry doors. Rooms are clean but a little shabby. Bathrooms are clean. The caretaker Max is excellent - friendly and helpful. Good location close to main strip [allenby and ben yehuda junction] and a 2 minute walk to the beach. My only cvomplaint was my credit card was charged for the full cost of my booking [I wanted to pay cash] although I arrived on the agreed date and gave clear notice on the day that my arrival time was somewhat delayed.

- No breakfast (even though it is in hostels offer!) - No possibility to store your luggage for few hours after check-out!!! (i have never faced similar situation in any hostels i have stayed in) - Reception is not opened 24/7 - if you arrive in the middle of the night you have to make phone call and wait for someone to let you in the hostel - Staff is not competent – we asked two different persons for important information about the hostel and received two totally different information.

I think, that Mugraby is good Hostel. But, zone of Alenby st. is too noisy in the night, if you want to have rest. It is not comfortable, that Hostel has not cloakroom and you cannot park your baggage before evening in depart day. Staff are good. Especially we thank Max for his politeness, honesty and care.

I found myself in that hostel cos of its location and price. It is not the best one of all. Anyway, i am not travelling to spend the whole time in the room. However, if you do stay there, then ask to be on the 3rd floor (much more cleaner with tiles...) and make sure to mention that the room is not facing the main road. The opposite hotel is always playing very very loud music which took me at least 2 hours to sleep.

Great hostel - enjoyed it so much that I stayed there twice during my visit to Israel. Mugraby is very close to Tel Aviv's amazing beaches, and is also an easy walk to some of the great sites (including the market and Jaffa), restaurants, and nightlife. The hostel itself was simple but pleasant and comfortable. Would definitely recommend it!

You get very little besides location for the price. The kitchen is a joke -- the fridge doesn't close so your food won't keep, the freezer doesn't work, and the only cooking devices are toaster and water boiler. It seems as if they did the bare minimum to make the place into a hostel. The furniture in the hang out room is very shoddy. Old falling-apart books in French clutter the bookshelf. I'd stay again if I were desperate but any other place is probably better. Very noisy on Allenby street.

Max, who keeps the rooms was a very nice and helpful guy. Unfortunately we did'nt like to use the bathroom as it was very humid and not very sanitarily...The hostel owner was not friendly and helpful! There is no lockers and luggage room!

This was my second time at Mugraby Hostel, and it was just great. If I'd travel again to Tel-Aviv, i'd go there for third time, that's for sure!
