The hostel is part of a pub, so you need to set your expectations before going. During the night I spent there a guy at 3AM asked for the last pint for about one hour, making sure everybody in the hostel was aware of that... Anyways, looking at the dorms and especially the bathroom, you should not pay more than 10€ per night.

We stayed in a quiet time in November at this Hostel so that was the reason why we were the only guests in the first night. Tommy the hostel owner is a cool and easy going host. Speaking for us in winter time I can say that a heated bathroom would have been great and also a heated kitchen. It was freezin cold in both rooms which made either showering or cooking a not very pleasant happening. Regarding the kitchen, there was no good equipment in it, Just 2 old and very used pans and 2 pots.
Good location, basic facilities but it does have everything you need. Tommy was very welcoming :)
booked here for the dingle marathon. the beds were comfortable and provided a good night sleep before the race. the kitchen was very large and well stocked. the staff were also very friendly and made us feel very welcome. the shower in our room was broke. which was the only flaw. the location is right in the centre of town so you can't get better.
