The staff was awesome, really friendly and works hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time. It's a great place for younger travelers who want to meet people and have an inclusive atmosphere. Easy to get around town. It's pretty happening 24/7 so if you need a lot of down time it might not be the best spot. It's a fun choice.

I liked the youthful atmosphere at the hostel that you're trying to maintain, however all 4 nights of my stay I hardly got any sleep because of a group of German teenagers on my floor shouting, slamming doors, running up and down stairs till 2 AM and then starting again in 4 AM (apparently some of them coming back from a club). You'd like to keep such loud groups in check to avoid putting off visitors looking for some quiet time and rest at night (a common need for all age groups except teens)

I have never rated a hostel despite staying at many hostels in Europe and Australia . After staying at the Musas Residence I would feel guilty not to rate it. Based on my experiences I would rate this hostel as the best. The staff who coordinated the activities ensured that my stay was unforgettable and a fun experience. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay that is safe, has fun social atmosphere, affordable and in a great location in Madrid.

Great location, very close to main sights, the staff was helpful. There were a few things to be considered though -there is no breakfast, however they provide free coffee, milk and churros(you have to wash your dishes), but the kitchen is nice. Bring your own padlock(small one), otherwise you have to buy one for 3E. If your room is close to the elevator, it might get noisy. They cleaned the room every day, however the sheets and pillow case were not very clean. Definitely bring your own!

Awesome friendly staff! The hostel also provides for some super day and night activities. I took the trip to Toledo and did the tapas tour which were both awesome and good value. Paella night was incredible!! For such a massive hostel they do a good job of maintaining a friendly atmosphere. My only complaints are that, as a young women traveling alone the area seemed a little sketchy at times, and I was staying on the fourth floor which was a bit of a climb at the end of the day.

Nice place. Could have more toilets, but so far it was ok. Probably it'll be hot during summer for windows are opening to the closed inner yard.

I lived on the third floor and there wasn't wifi coverage at all. The charging socket next to my bed was also broken.

Staff wasn't very welcoming, however they warmed up later in our stay. They rip you off with the lockers and make the lock holders so small that you have to buy their little locks for three euro - rip off. Location is pretty good but very touristy.

The rooms as Musas were open and comfortable. Furnished with Ikea items and real mattresses (a luxury at any hostel), the highlight of this hostel is the home-feel of the bedrooms. There was a large kitchen downstairs that guests were free to use, which was especially lovely after we were tired of going out for a meal every night. The only downside was the lack of community. Staff were friendly and cordial, but not as warm as other hostels. The common room didn't invite social interaction.

Had a great stay! The staff were friendly the kitchen was great. Close to the center of town, several supermarkets, restaurants, bars, clubs. DOo't know what more I could have wanted (except a towel but I knew that one going in). Had a great stay!!

The staff was passionate and we enjoyed talking to them and listening to their detailed information., but the washroom could have been cleaner. The paella and pizza night was attractive.

I was pretty disappointed with las musas. It has zero atmosphere, was filled with school groups and doesn't appear to attract many backpackers or solo travellers. On the other side, the facilities were fine and the location is good for seeing Madrid by foot. Wouldn't recommend this place for solo travellers and those looking to meet people in a warm atmosphere. Suitable if you just want a bed in a big institution though.

Staff was super helpful with several unforeseen issues i had during my travels. People were friendly and overall it was a great experience. You also get a map and they will recommend stuff and help you find it. Great location don't buy the metro card you only need it to get to and from the airport or train station.

This place was pretty basic, great location and perfect if you´re not looking for anything fancy. The mattresses were really uncomfortable, you could feel the springs sticking into your back. The free walking tour was great. We changed our plans to book the daytrip to Toledo only to be told that it was no longer being run the day before, kind of annoying.

Great location near the centre of town with plenty of public transport, great place to meet people and experience Madrid, wifi only in public areas is a little rough if you're staying on the fourth floor as I was, showers are a bit rough. But overall, great place!
