We stayed at Las Musas for 4 nights and we did many of the hostel`s activities. Try out the walking tour, the guide is really excellentt. Helpfull staff, however, we wonder if the are really organised...

The location is pretty nice in the Sol area but the park that it is next to is a little sketchy because lots of homeless people reside there and smells like urine. If you are easily uncomfortable in sketchy parts of a city you might want to stay somewhere else. Las musas has a really nice kitchen and computer/rec room. Kinda annoying that you can only use wifi in the lobby also i got stuck with a middle-aged couple in a 3 bed mixed room so my experience wasnt the best circumstance.

Great location, easy walking distance to most major sites. Beds aren't that comfortable though and in some cases you can feel the springs beneath. Also they are bunk-beds and not particularly stable so if the person on the bottom bunk moves suddenly in the night, the whole bunk shakes. Very friendly and helpful staff though, good breakfasts, good internet facilities with two large supermarkets very close by. Despite the uncomfortable beds, would recommend this place.

Great location, friendly staff. Guests could be quieter early in the morning though.

I could feel every single bump in my bed and the comforter had stains on it. Also the walls were thin, but that's usual for a hostel. The staff was friendly and it was in a good location--walking distance to the plaza de sol.

The Musas Residence has a great location for visiting madrid. The metro station is not far and a lot of bars and clubs are near as well. The staff is super friendly and helps you with everything. The only negativ thing was that our 10-bed-room had only one shower and in the morning (9-11 am) the water wasn't really hot. But I can definetelly recommend this hostel! We had a great weekend there :)

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast could have been better, but for the price it was really reasonable.

This hostel was one of the best I've stayed in!! The staff was so friendly and helpful, they even carried my suitcase up the stairs for me!! Free breakfast and wifi and the rooms and bathrooms were always clean. I would definitely stay here again!!

Enjoyed the hostel. The rooms are clean and the staff is excellent. So friendly and inviting! and the location is unbeatable. Central and within walking distance to everything: The Prado, Plaza mayor, Palacio Real, etc. The other reviews are right though, the noise on the weekends is pretty bad and the beds are sooo uncomfortable. Be sure to bring a padlock, not a small/suitcase lock, for the lockers. Small won't fit

Loved having the computers and smaller dorm room size. Downside... it was soo very very loud at night. Dificil to fall asleep.

It's a lovely place and staff. The only problem is that sometimes it can really get noisy in the middle of night/early morning because of the loud party goers staying in hostel or bars nearby.

There are activities organised every night by John, the best host ever! Try the free walking tour, the drinking games or the pub crawl!! The only bad thing is that the beds are really uncomfortable !

Breakfast, Localization and facilities were good. Not the same opinion about staff though. Noone showed us the hostel and we were kind of lost.. around there. We couldn't find our room. Then, during the pucrawl, the guy who was running it, left a group behind. And one particular member at reception (some guy named John I think) was pretty arrogant. I asked him a few things and he just turn his back to us (kind of rude for a hostelworker!!)

Nothing was excellent but it was all fine. Had all the facilities, such as a kitchen, wi-fi, free common use computers, common rooms. The dorms were cramped, lockers not big enough for most packs and not really enough room for all the packs on the floor. Breakfast was pretty basic, but complimentary. Laundry facilities are actually an adjoining laundromat with limited operating hours over the weekend, so be aware of this if you're arriving in Madrid desperate to do your laundry!
