Don't advertise the walking tour as "free" if the tour guide is going to guilt trip us into giving her money. However I did enjoy the tour and learned a lot. The tapas night and bar crawls were fun too

Excellent hostel. The Argentinian guy at the desk is was extremely helpful and offered insightful advice on everything from nightlife to what barrios to explore by night and why. Perfect location, v close to Huertas and central madrid. Hostel organises multiple activities if that's what your after (really good on monday or tues nights for instance when the city isn't as busy by night) eg pub crawls daily, tapas, flamenco, although it's obviously better to head out to the madrid night independent

Cool place .The staff there is quite helpful. Specially the Big Eyes boss. Many activities around the hostel you won't feel bore even you are alone in the hostel. .. Just the elevator is quite annoying ... haha ,, anyway .. if next time back to Madrid.I think I will stay there ~

I stayed in a handicap accessible room that was probably the largest hostel room I've ever stayed in (room 1-1, fwiw). The hostel was also clean and in an excellent location. My one complaint was that hot water was pretty spotty and usually you had to shower at an off-peak time to ensure supply. I didn't expect this sort of a hassle in Madrid. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay again.

The staff was VERY kind and welcoming. The hostel was very clean and had a very nice feeling to it. My room had a lot of natural light, with many windows, and lots of space. They offer a whole computer room with many computers and free internet. They have a very cool lounge downstairs with a big flat screen TV. The kitchen is also very convenient - you can store your food and cook there which helps save money. & It's very close to the center of Madrid. The best hostel I ever stayed in by far.

Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Just toast and cornflakes, and only sweetened cornflakes, too. The location was alright, fairly good walking distance to everything. The staff was very helpful. BUT! The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in, in any hostel. Very hard with springs assaulting your back. We literally had to put our coats under us to get to sleep at night. Outlets were also placed in odd places in the room, making charging phones and ipods difficult.

The place was nice, but large and not super cozy or accommodating. Some staff members were nice and others were distant. And I'm someone who usually tries to get to know everyone. The amenities were good. Nice kitchen and lounge areas with good wifi in those areas. Rooms were decent and so were the showers. Location was pretty good and central. Got a good walking tour though from Pablo while we were there which was nice. Take advantage of that :)

I had a great time in Las Musas! The staff is wonderful, the pub crawl was a lot of fun and I met lots of cool people. Wifi worked well, breakfast was simple but good, the room was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend it! But if you're looking for peace and quiet, this might not be for you.

This place is a 5 star hotel! Great beds, great common rooms, great kitchen, great staff and great music too. If I'd have to live in a hostel, this would be my place. Give it a try!

Las Musas hostel was lots of fun, the staff are great (particularly Pedro, super amazing guy) and I ended up extending my stay here. I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a good place to meet people in Madrid.

Pedro at reception could not be more polite and welcoming, he really cares about his guests. All the other reception staff I encountered looked like they didn't want to be there. Hostel facilities are great, rooms are cleaned on a regular basis. Pillows are awful, there is very little stuffing in them so when you put your head on it the pillow 'pancakes' flat. Some good Indian restaurants down the hill, just be safety-aware because black African migrants loiter in this area most of the time.

I stayed for two nights and had a great fun, after that I feel that i love Madrid. -) Hostel amuses and entertains you all possible ways, so if you want to meet people and socialize, it is just perfect. Walking tour (thank you Pablo!), flamenco show, bars -) But even if you have your own plans and need just a bed and shower, everything is clean and nice.

There were a few strange issues with the hostel...Elevators didn´t didn´t always work right and the door wouldn´t open. But the Staff was helpful and friendly, there were plenty of things to do, and I had a good time.
