it's not really a hostel. It has three rooms, but not dorms or anything. it's good for couples, but not really for an individual traveller. I got another room that booked, but I have been told the room was bigger and more quiet, so it was okay. there's no reception, so no one to ask anything (or security), but there are lots of brochures.. there's WiFi, but only in one part of our room (which was just at the entrance, where there was no chair or seat or bed). location is really good.
The apartment was great, we booked a double room shared bathroom and because no one else was there for our stay, we got a large double room with ensuite. We had the apartment to ourselves and so the price was ubeblievably cheap for what we got. There's a washing machine in the kitchen and a TV. Andrea the owner was lovely and told us about all the best places to visit in Budapest (and there is a lot to see and do). A very homely and safe apartment in the best location! Would visit again 100%!
There are 2 branches of MushROOMs, one at Lazar Utca 9, the other at Akademia Utca 14. I stayed at both. Both properties situated close to restaurants, subway, and attractions. The hostel comes with a living room and kitchen which provides almost EVERYTHING you need. Laundry machine, iron, fridge, etc. The person in charge is very friendly, always smiling, answer questions Budapest's attractions. Tourist guides are also available in hostel. Hostel is kept clean everyday. GOOD PLACE TO STAY
