An amazing experience at mushroom point! Basic huts with comfy double bed and reliable mosquito net! Separate private bathroom. Huts are lockable and the girls at reception will lock up any valuables. Location is excellent, not on the waterside but probably for the better! Food here is reasonably priced and delicious! Only minor issue was that the huts get hot at night and the fan isn't directed towards the bed!!! But only a minor issue in a comfortable unique enjoyable stay.

The dorm does get quite hot. The low-voltage ceiling fans are futile. Food and drinks are on the expensive side, and what I had wasn't memorable. The staff were friendly, though I'm not sure if it was sincere. Check your bill carefully. I had a simple bill, and it took 3 attempts for them to get it right, (all over-charging mistakes naturally! funny that!)

The staff are ALWAYS friendly and efficient and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Thanks to all! The bungalows are unique, clean and good value for money. The setting and atmosphere was excellent. We planned to stay 3 days and ended up staying the whole week. Overall a very memorable holiday.

The staffs were all very friendly and helpful. Like the fact that it was clean, comfortable bed, comes with a basket and hanging rack for wet clothes, really relaxing and quiet could still get a good rest and party some where else! And the place as a whole is very cute and unique!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mushroom Point, the dorm is across the road from the beautiful beach. The dorm did get quite warm as there were only 3 ceiling fans (no air con). One of us got really sick during our stay and the staff were so helpful and they let us watch movies in the common area. Would definitely go back!

nO AIR CON, NO FRIG AND A 100 IN THE SHADE. ACROSS FROM THE BEACH. BETTER DEALS TO BE HAD WITHBEACH FRONT PROPERTIES. HEAT AND DARKNESS IN THE EVENINGS WITH NOTHING TO DO AND NO PLACE TO GO. THIS BEACH IS TOTALLYISOLATED AND SHOULD BE VISITED ON A DAY TRIP BUT NOT TO DTAY. jUDITH aDAMS, dENVER

Just loved it! The doorm was great, good comfy beds, non asian style ;) Close to the beach, lovely staff. No lockers but you could leave your valuables with the staff who locked it up so that felt alright. Kept on Ibooking "just another night" and would have stayed even longer if I hadn't had a flight out of Cambodia.

Very good place to stay. No place if you wanna go party, its far away from party scene, but ideal for resting! Very mellow! Staff is great! The little mushroom huts were so cool to stay in as long as you are not afraid of creepy crawlies. The bed was clean and comfy and the room/toilets were cleaned everyday. The shower was only cold water fed but this isn't so bad after spending the day on the beach and in the sun. There is free wifi but if you don't have a laptop/phone they charge $4 an hour to use their laptops. This is quite expensive because just up the road is an internet cafe which charges $1 per hour for internet use.

I was recommended Mushroom Point by another backpacker - and I wasn't disappointed. Cute & comfy hostel with really friendly/helpful staff. Perfectly located - literally a stone's throw from the beach (glad it wasn't ON it, as the beach can get noisy every night). Wifi was excellent too. Although the food was at the expensive end of the scale, it was good enough to warrant it. Only negative was the the lack of storage lockers for bags (but they allow valuables to be kept behind reception).

great atmosphere in the hostel, very friendly, good food if you decide to eat there but if not theres loads of options on the beach which is only 20metres across the road, the rooms have got great character and are very unusual but after the first night I was over the outdoorsy feeling, free wifi
