I thought everything was quite lovely about it. However, it sort of lacked the communal charm that I've found in so many other hostels (granted, most of the ones I've been to have been in Europe). The staff seemed to hang around the common areas a lot, and gave off a very indifferent vibe towards travelers. Sort of difficult to meet other travelers. This was my first time traveling solo in the U.S., so maybe it is different than Europe. All in all, I'd recommend staying here. Very nice, cleanetc

I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was friendly and it was such a nice, young atmosphere. Don't expect too much, it's only a hostel. But I would recommend it absolutely!!

The overall stay was good. It was my first stay in a hostel. The location worked out well. My only suggestion would be that the staff be more friendly. They were not very outgoing or welcoming when you walked into the main house. Because there are people from all over and most of them do not know anyone else it would be nice to feel more welcome.

I don't have enough characters to praise this place as much as I would like. This hostel was by far the best value for money I have ever experienced in the USA. it is a 30min walk from the new greyhound station or a $7.50 taxi ride. The staff are so friendly, there is always something happening. There were a few regular visitors there who were fantastic. With $6 pitchers you can't go wrong. I lived on $25 a day whilst I was there. The kitchen facilities allow you to cook your own food.

I really enjoyed my (short) stay at the Hostel. The staff is very friendly and everyone there loves to make music. There is always someone playing an insrument and sometimes there are spontaneous jam sessions. What I did not like was, that you had to pay extra to store the luggage and to do the laundry costs 6 Dollars, which is too much. The Hoste is not directly jn downtown but it\'s only a 20 minutes walk and the neighbourhood of the Hostel also has a lot of restaurants and bars and clubs

I loved staying at Music City Hostel. Location wise, it's about 20minutes from downtown and most of the sights, It's also only about 10 minutes from Centennial Park which I enjoyed running around each day. The staff are friendly and very helpful and by the end of my 5 nights there I felt like one of the gang. It's very clean, and very much value for money. Could not recommend more!

While it was a bit of a walk from town, bike rentals cut travel time in right down.

This is a great hostel, always someone singing or playing music in the small common room. Good breakfast too if you like waffles. The staff are good and flexible, they'll let you bend the rules if it's reasonable. I would recommend staying here.

A great stay! It is located in a quiet neighborhood along with several medical offices (meaning, it was quiet and safe). Nice, interesting people, and great to wake up to free coffee and pancakes. Has a couple of outside places to sit and eat and even have a fire in the evening. Thanks Dakota! Julie

Music city hostel is easily the coolest place for a traveller to stay when visiting Nashville. The staff are super nice, the facilities and rooms are well kept and plentiful its close to public transport and it only took 15 minutes to walk downtown. We were here for christmas and one of the staff is studying to be a chef and cooked up a HUGE christmas feast and the hostel held some great games to lift th

A really cozy and sociable place. Nice facilities and terrific staff that will show you a good night on the town, not to mention the in-house music entertainment. Breakfast was good and they offered free parking. Would definitively come again!

Rooms are a bit on the small side and fairly clean. Sound insulation is poor, you can hear conversation from the next room easily. There are no lockers in the rooms, they're located in a separate building. There are no common areas, except for one table in the kitchen and some chairs and tables outside. Location is pretty good, about 30 min walk downtown and 15 to greyhound station.

Good hostel, but people who live there far out number short term travellers. Not a great hostel for meeting people but was kept clean and staff were nice.

The best hostel I have been so far. There are security locks with passwords on all the doors, the rooms are clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Conveniently located near the medical schools I was interviewing for. The area around was a bit... but its a great and friendly place.!!!!!
