My wife and I stayed here for 2nights. The room was fairly basic but was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. En-suite bathroom was good and the shower worked well. Our room was quiet and we didn't hear the street noise as we thought we would. Decor is a bit hostel-like and dated. In the host was very friendly and most helpful, showing us where to eat without getting ripped off etc. He was also excellent in communicating with us via email before arriving to confirm details.

Very good location, very near to train station and to all historical monuments! Good price for this location! Ivan is very helpful.

The hostel is located very centrally, near the train station and the main attractions. Very clean and cosy too. Beds were incredibly comfortable and provided a good rest. Our room was next to the road, so sometimes it would be a bit loud when the cars went by. Ivan was great, very helpful and considerate, and recommended good restaurants to us. Only drawback was the lack of WiFi but that's cause the place's build of stone worth 500 years old, and that can't be helped!

Two of the best issues concerning our stay at My friends are perfect location (next to the train station, 5 minutes of foot from the very city centre) and Ivan - the owner, who is extremely helpful, reliable, open-minded and charming person. Our twin room could be more spacious but for one night it was sufficient.

My Friends is a wonderful place that has a family vibe, Ivan is very caring and will help you with what you need.

Recomend!! Ivan the owner is SO friendly and helpfull also honest I left my ipod in the room he gave it back. The stay was allround Brilliant, Clean, Location brilliant! cheap !!

We loved this hostel! Ivan was the nicest man!!! He will do anything to make sure you are happy and comfortable! We were a bit chilly one night so we told him, and he searched for blankets and sleeping bags for us! He even told us he called someone to see if there was anything they could do about it. The room was adorable and spacious! Not too packed like other hostel rooms we stayed at. It was very clean and kept very tidy! We don't have a single complaint!!

As we were told, the guy that received us (Ivan) was extremely nice. He could answered all our questions, plus he explained, in a perfect spanish, how everything worked in the house. We recommend the place if you are looking for a place in the heart of Florence.

Ivan is a lovely host who is very helpful and also environmentally conscious which is great. The room was in a great location, close & easy to walk to from the train station plus close to most of Florence's attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, it was clean, warm, reasonably quiet and comfortable, and would recommend it. It was good value for where we were for the time of year that we were there.
