We stayed here for three nights. It's not really close to the city centre - you need to take a bus to Allenby Street and Carmel market. It seems to me the hostel is located in an unprivileged neighborhood as there were lots of refugees/displaced living there. We don't think there's any security problem though. Hosts are very friendly and helpful, but would be even better if the door can be locked or if there's a locker.
Location is outside the expensive touristic areas but next to a 24/7 bus station. Frequency is every 5 min and it gets to heart of Tel Aviv within just 10 min. The neighborhood is very safe, no crimes in this area. The suite is part of a 3 floors house. The house has a main gate which is locked all the time. The house is a private family house, so tenants may leave their stuff in the unit without hesitation. Here you get a great value for money! Our great reviews are the proof for that :-)

The host is very friendly, house and room are clean, room is not lockable. This part of Tel Aviv is poor and dirty, but near to the train station and CBS. And you can watch the planes coming in... Very good, that you can check in at night. For one or two nights fine.
The suite a part of a family house, therefore it is very safe. The neighborhood gives a guest the experience of the common life in Tel Aviv. It is full of local authentic restaurants, clothes bazars and food stands. Here you can experience Tel Aviv in a very cheap prices and also get very easily onto heart of the city or the shore with a 15min bus ride.
