The place is close to Brixton tube station, which lets you be downtown London in 20 minutes. However, the area is a run-down immigrant neighborhood, I would not feel safe alone on the street late at night. The property looks run-down: stains on the carpet in the room, the bathroom is moldy and dirty, no soap and towel for washing hands after toilet, there's noise from the corridor, no lockers, no towels provided. Though Raz is nice, and we got towels when we said we didn't bring any.

great place. This was my 3rd time here. Very convenient location; Brixton is a very vibrant area. Friendly. Use of kitchen is good if you're trying to save money.

Situated very close to the underground station but a bit far to the centre and the locality is not exactly the nicest one. The kitchen had everything that was needed and the overall level of cleanliness was very high, however, the bathroom was old and I couldn't shower properly because the water didn't mix well. I could also hear everything that was going on around my room because the walls are so thin and the floor was old and squeaked. But rooms were spacious and staff nice.

Raz, the manager, was VERY friendly and helpful. My Place Inn is right in the heart of Brixton, and just around the corner from Brixton tubestation + only 4 stops to Victoria. It's modest but clean, and very quiet. Heartily recommended from us. Best, Mary and Kent.

had an excellent stay here - really lovely hostel. would recommend indoubtedly for a quiet stay if you're going to visit london city centre (a mere 10-15 mins in the tube from brixton, and a 5 minute walk to the tube from the hostel). not a party hostel like other hostels that I have visited in the past, which I preferred this time around. shout out to raz for the dram of fine whisky at about 11am with my breakfast! slanje!

Very good. This was my second stay here. They had some problems with the heating system but were quick to sort it out and offered a change of room. Good location near tube, use of kitchen is handy if you're trying to save on money.

Reliable and fast internet connection. Perfect place to work in a quiet environment. Shower and heater was broken on the last day, had to take a shower on the other floor. It's a little annoying.

Wifi works excellent, and Raz is a rad dude. But that's about it for good things. The location convenient only if you like taking the tube to get anywhere. The area is pretty sketchy after dark and it's right underneath the approach to Heathrow so I hope you like airplanes.

Nice place. Felt more like being in a flatshare rather than a hostel. Convenient location with lots of food/drink places nearby and just 5 minutes from tube. Warm. Comfortable. Very clean. I'd definitely recommend it.
