The ambiance was very relaxed, and everyone was very helpful. The location was within walking distance of everything I wanted to see.
Great place to stay with excellent facilities and great staff.
I enjoyed every minute of my stay in this great hostel! The staff is wonderful and the owner is really really great!!!!!! The place is super clean, it's secure and during the really hot moments during the day you can relax in the nice common area!!! Really would go there again!!! Thanks a lot for welcoming me in Cartagena!! :)
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere, great location, not too busy.

Had an excellent time here. The staff is very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and will help make arrangements for many of the activities. The rooms are clean, quiet and devoid of light. Very nice balcony overlooking the road. Would definitely stay in this hostel again if I travel to Cartagena.
Nice hostel with a good price. Not the best one if you want to make new friends, but the staff is very helpfull. The location seems to be not safe but I'm sure you'll like it.
Mystic House served as a decent base for my time in Cartagena. Its a short walk to the historic walled city and provides the essentials that a traveler needs. The dorm room is a somewhat cell-like with little natural light and is a little stuffy as a result, but despite the immense humidity, with the provided fans, I didn't find sleeping uncomfortable. The common area is airy and fresh and the owner is particularly helpful with information and arranging transport. Great for a chilled stay.
Decent hostel, good vibe. Very quiet, but it was down-season. The common areas were a bit small, which was fine and comfortable when there were so few people, but I think it would be cramped if there were more people. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Annoying that you cannot use the kitchen - as other hostels down the road, which charge the same price for dorms, have kitchens you can use.
Thanks for a great stay, loved the time in Cartagena. Hostel and rooms very clean, loved self controlled air con. Will say, hostel is for people looking for quiet time. No laundry or computer or kitchen. WiFi was great.
The hostel owner is very nice and helpful, but he is also the only one of the staff that speaks English. The breakfast he makes if you order it is very good! You can't use the kitchen in this hostel and that's a shame, because other than that it is a really ok hostel. It's in the "partystreet" Media Luna, but still away from all the noise. The showers are not very good. The air condition was a life saver. Met a lot of lovely people while we stayed here.
scrupulously clean, postage stamp sized private rooms with tiny loo. good security and excellent staff. aside from cold air conditioning, no frills at all, not even soap.. excellent base of operations for on-the-go people. a bit claustrophobic if you like to hang out in your room. lovely suppers for 4 dollars just across the street at the pajaro restaurant.
Great staff. Really made my stay in Cartagena memorable. The Venezuelan couple is amazing and super helpful. They helped me plan my stay in Colombia and I will always remember them.
Really nice little hostel, more like a house. The owner is super cool and will happily help you out. Can also speak English but most front desk staff are still learning. Be warned the 10 bed dorm is windowless with a few fans but no AC so can get super hot, and there are no door locks or lockers. Has a small common area but no guest kitchen, I would recommend Red Moon (Mexican) at Media Luna Hostel for cheap eats.
Originally booked for two nights, ended up staying a week, awesome hostel, the owners are very helpful, Chris is so knowledgable and will go out of his way to help you with anything you need, it's just down the street from all the bars and restaurants so the noise is barely noticeable, receptionists are always smiling...loved our stay at the mystic house, would absolutely recommend a stay here..thanks for everything, Marcus and Kyle.
Nice hostel, very quite but beside all the busy bars,so a good mixture!
Great hostel for everyone looking for a tranquil spot amidst The Cartagena party scene in Getsemani! Plus very helpfull staff and service!
lovely venezuelan owners and other staff who are super friendly. very clean hostel as well as our room and bathroom. huge room with massive bathroom too. The host has a great atmosphere and is extremely comfortable. would definitely stay there again.
Mystic Hpuse is not a party vibe but a chilled out place for ppl who are looking for a quieter spot to rest with the party right nearby. We stayed for three nights in a private - huge comfy bed, cleanest bathroom I've seen at a Col. hostal, AC with guest controlled remote (oh ya) and and a big common area to eat/drink/chill and a large balcony overlooking the Media Luna main drag. Owners Christian and Cindy were super nice and accommodating! Great value for what you get, good for couples esp

A great hostel, very cool balcony over looking the street. Staff very helpful would recommend staying there. facilities were good but they have a kitchen which guests cant use which is a shame.
This place is very clean, with a nice little common area and balcony. We found it lacked a bar, cheap laundry service, free baggage storage, and the common areas seemed to have more staff than guests, the focus on the big TV didn't really help socialising. I would say this hostel will only get better as they have plans to add additional services and the staff were friendly, relaxed and helpful
