Good value for money, nice breakfast, friendly atmosphere. Just one thing: staff wasn't very in to helping people by providing information, rather uninterested attitude.

The location is perfect, right next to Taksim square. The staff were great too, really welcoming and helpful. And breakfast was delicious (a little variety from day to day). Really great value for the money. I will recommend this hostel to all my friends travelling to Istanbul!

THIS PLACE NEED RENOVATION - that summarizes it... The staff is nice (not all over you like in some top hostels, but i actually find it a good thing), the breakfast is good, the free tea/coffee always, & they have a fridge & a kitchen.. Location is amazing. I hated my bed though, it soo went down under my weight (&i weight 52kg), & my back hurt after the sleep.. Also the pillow sucked. The bathroom was ok but tiny, & the toilets bearable.. Overall - for this cheap price its actually good

This hostel is rig next to a really bad karaoke bar which is open till 2am. The room was hot so I had to have the window open which meant I was graced with some pretty drunk singing. The next day I said I didn't want to stay there even though I had a 4 day booking.

first : it is not karaoke bar, it is a jazz bar, we didin't know that you don't like to jazz music, sorry for this... second: the staff gave you single room with bathroom although you had reservation for single room with SHARED bathroom. third: pls read all the Property Information of hostels and after decide for your staying. if you didin't read information of hostel it is not our fault. We wrote dawn about the music and noisy area. However you wanted leave without pay. what did this

Rooms need to have lockable storage for EACH guest. No way to lock your valuables safely in your room is unacceptable. Rooms were very clean, but the shower room is terrible. You need to fix the showers so all 3 work and aren't covered in mold.

It was nice staying here. The staff offered us breakfast when we have not even checked in. The staffs were very kind and helpful. But when we came back to hostel for checking in at 14:00, the beds were not prepared. And even smokers smoke in their smoker's area, we could smell it almost everywhere in the hostel. We felt uncomfortable. Breakfast is okay, nice. Wifi worked good. It's a good hostel but not for people who don't like smoke.

Very friendly and helpful staff.-- If you are a light sleeper youd' better bring good ear plugs or find somewhere else to stay; this hostel is smack in the center of night club world!

The hostel is in a very good location, if you want to stay in the modern part of the city. The guys that run the place are very friendly and always willing to help. The only thing to watch out for is that the hostel in the middle od bars, clubs, etc. so it can be very noise for people that want to sleep early.

The staff Spoke poor English and Stunk. The Place Was a Dump. Breakfast Was revolting. Location Was amazing Though

We believe that everybody speaks their mothertounge substentially, rich and gracefuly and as our stuff’s mothertounge is not English, we are sure that we can not speak English as fluent as some of our guest. We are welcoming our guests from all around the World, some speaks Spanish, some speaks İtalian, some speaks Arabic and some speaks Chinese, we never judge them with their English level.

A tiny, but nice hostel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was traditional and good, our room ( double private room) was made for sleeping only, not a lot of space and in general not a place you'd like to spent time at. The area is perfect for people who like to party, if you want to sleep in piece, you definately have to have a good sleep. What disturbed me a little bit was that the hangout area is always quite dark and there is no outer place of the hostel.

The facilities are a little bit poor , however taking in consideration the price as we are in Istanbul the money you pay is worthy, i woud not stay there more than three nights. Beside, the location is surrounded by dicos and bars so if you have problems trying to sleep you may feel discomfort.

We had a great time staying at Mystic Simurgh. The hostel is located in a busy zone of Taksim, but we weren't at all disturbed by noisy surroundings. The room was clean, the restroom was well maintained. The 'social space' was super nice, we made a few friends there as well. The staff were friendly and very helpful: we asked them to post our postcards (we hadn't had time to do it ourselves) and they kindly agreed so without hesitation. We would absolutely recommend you stay here.
