NSTS Hibernia Residence and Hostel Reviews

Since our arrival the toilets and the room have not been cleaned. The toilet paper has never been refilled and that's not possible in a girl's wing! There wasn't any night light, so as people arrived in the room at night, was forced to put on the general light. There was little kitchenware and also the kitchen has never been cleaned. We payed for a 6 bed room and we were in a 8 bed room.

Service here is completely inexistent. After 2 pm there won't be anyone to help you or assist you in case of need. The bathrooms for the dorms were incredibly dirty, with hair, foam, toothpaste, beer cans etc. It was difficult to sleep because as there is nobody to complain with, drunk french students take this hostel as a club, and fool around until 5 a.m. clapping, shouting and running all over the place. The answer from the useless girl at the reception: "that's the way it is in dorms".

You get the service you've paid for... The lady at the reception was nice but there's rarely someone. When I arrived I believed the main door was locked when it was in fact hard to open and a guest had to open because the reception was unattended. However this is quite cheap and well located so it will do it.

The absence of receptionnist while arriving a week-end not so late (around 8 pm) is a bit strange : everybody can enter the hostel and take your key, just let on the board. Sometimes, there was nobody to the breakfast and no re-filling of the food. But everything is perfect for such a good price : sheets, big continental quilt, soap in the bathroom, breakfast self service and with croissants, good atmosphere...
