I arrived and the security guard / overnight receptionist lead me to a mixed dorm with people sleeping in. I had booked a private room on the basis that I would be arriving late night & would like to shower etc & not disturb others. He didn't speak good enough English to quite understand but said they were full. I had my confirmation but this did not seem to make a difference. I then moved out the following morning & found accomodation elsewhere.

Not the cleanest hostel - the shower was stained and you had to hold it in one hand to shower. However, this may have just been my dorm. There were lockers, but they were not big enough for your rucksac and on some occasions my rucksac looked like it had been moved/looked through - nothing was missing. Couldn't access wifi on the third floor and there were very few powerpoints in the dorm. The mattresses were covered in plastic that crackled when you tried to sleep. You get what you pay for.

Friendly staff and an excellent location, a couple of hundred metres from the centre but far enough to be quiet still.

We reserved a private room with bathroom. We ended up with a room that had blood stains on the floor, no sink or trash bin and shared a window with a chicken coop. The wifi was good in the common area but non existant 10m in any dorection it seemed. It was hard to complain when we were paying 22,500 kip per person per night for the room but the basic sanitation needs were not met. There are so many guest houses with good deals, we expected better. Ours was room E by the way.

saw staff pick pocketing from peoples pockets when they were "cleaning". too much hassle with staff not knowing what was going on and giving away rooms to people that didn't have bookings

Nanas was great, the staff in particular were really friendly and helpful. The location is also pretty central. Would definitely recommend this one!

Pretty average hostel. Had to change rooms three times to get in one where the mossie nets over the windows were still in one piece / the windows shut. A good place to meet other travellers though.

We had told the hostel in advance via email that we'd be arriving at 2am from Luang Prabang, and they had our rooms waiting for us when we arrived at 3am. Rooms were clean and location just fine. We had some trouble with inconsistent water pressure in the bathrooms for the faucet and showers, it was going in and out, and at one point shut down completely (it came back a few moments later). Loved the staff though and the rooms were very comfortable.
