The staff were excellent, and would like to give a special thanks to Kaz, as when i arrived I had horrendous tooth ach, Kas not only rang the dentist but also took my friend and I to the dentist where he interpreted for me. The next day they arranged a guide for free, (2 gudes came) to show us some of the more interesting sites of Nagasaki, this proved really informative, and would reccommend. Their english was excellent, we felt honoured to not only have one guide but 2. ropeway recommended

Akari is awesome! Great and fun staff, nice rooms and cosy communal room & kitchen. Walking distance from the bar district and a lot of good restaurants too.

The only thing that was bad about this hostel was the dangers of staying in dorms of 8 people....lots of snoring. But the hostel itself is great, safe, and has more space than the previous hostel I was at.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, nice shared space with kitchen and free internet. Really useful location. Only bad points: the hairdryer and shower weren't great, and one of the bulbs in our room was missing.

Very clean and friendly staff, a little bit too sterile for me though. Nice small common area with kitchen, there's wifi in the common room sometimes reach the lower floors too, great location near the spectacle bridge, a tram away from main attractions.

The location is good. You can visit the city by walk or take the tram. The hostel is clean and rooms too. Staff is nice and can help you. The only bad thing (I think) that the WIFI doesn't work on the room. You have to stay on the commom room for check your mail, trip or juste for tchat. It's the first hostel in witch in stay in this case and for the price you paid it's not good. The female dorm is really nice : i stayed 2 nights and i met so nice people.

My second stay here as I really enjoyed it the first time (about two years ago). Well equipeed but slightly small common room and kitchen (not a negative point, helps getting in touch!), slightly smallish rooms (4-bed dorm) but everything is very clean and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home and to even organize day trips for you. They organize free walking tours with local volunteers most days and schedule other events. Feels more like you are living with a family ;-)

Very clean and welcoming hostel. It does not even look like a hostel to begin with. One of the best I've seen in Japan.

While this hostel was in a good location and had a nice kitchen and friendly staff, something needs to be done about the mattresses. We stayed in a double room and it was the most comfortable bed either of us have ever slept on- we've sleep in many, many hostels across Europe and Asia. We ended up sleeping on top of the blanket to provide some padding so we weren't just sleeping on what felt like bare metal springs. This is a good little hostel but it desperately needs new beds.

This hostel is very conveniently located 5 minutes walk from Kokaido-mae tram stop which has 3 out of 4 tram lines running through it and 5 minutes walk to Megane Bashi/Spectacles Bridge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and more than willing to help you plan your sightseeing. We stayed in a private room which was very clean and was an ideal base to explore Nagasaki. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit Nagasaki.
