Nagasaki International Hostel AKARI Reviews

It's located a short distance away from the JR rail station and bus station. I had the single room which had lots of space and the heater worked great for those cold winter nights.

Wonderful location, great staff (fun personality & helpful recommendations), clean & safe. If I ever get the chance to return to Nagasaki, this is surely the place I will be staying at!

Thank-you very much to the staff at Akari Hostel, Nagasaki! I had a wonderful experience- they have everything as hostel should, plus so many extra reccomendations for day trips etc. They even organise for you to go on a walk with a local, who can guide you around to places you might not normally get to see! Really enjoyed my 3 nights here, thanks guys!

Really a nice place to be. Overall I liked most of the places in Japan where we stayed, but this had something extra. We much liked the livingroom with the open kitchen, so it was good fun to do some cooking and get in touch with the people sitting in the room. The staff was excellent again, but this is Japan so everybody is always nice and very attentive. I would definetly go back...

Great little place. The original map the staff gave us helped us get the most out of our shortish (3 night) stay in Nagasaki, and the people were all really friendly. Just down in Kyushu for a week from 'home' in Tokyo, and was really glad to find this place, relaxing, and near all the interesting spots in town. Would recommend the 'local walks with locals' offered by the staff and their friends!

My favourite hostel in the world. The location is beautiful, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the common rooms and rooms are clean and homely. Have stayed here twice, and will do again!

I had a great stay at International Hostel Akari. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful with providing touristy information. I would definitely recommend a stay there.

Good location. Only 5-10mins walk from city centre. Staff were really helpful and incredibly nice!

Friendly smiling and helpful staff and nice private room + great location (quiet but close to vibrant neighbourhoods). The staff provides a lot of interesting tips about the city and the region!! They also organize walks with local people everyday to help you discover Nagazaki off the beaten paths... Great hostel!
