Very friendly staff, clean facilites and rooms.

Very good hostel experience in Japan

Staff is patient and helpful. The hostel is full of traditional japanese elements, so rejoice in the dim lights, hushed voices, mellow shadows and zen out. The dorm room I had was a 6-tatami room, with hardy timber double decks. Very comfy sleep. And the room is spotless. Toilets are simple, and adequate. The location is perfect, and easily navigable. One of my favourite hostel experience.

This was my second time staying at AKARI hostel, because it's great! Not far from the station and very easy to find. It's located in the older area of Nagasaki near picturesque stone bridges (you'll know when you're close) and a temple. The staff is always wonderful and welcoming, and provide all the info you could need for getting the best possible time out of Nagasaki. The rooms and beds were cozy and clean and the showers were fine. Also a nice big common room with computers for guests.

I thought that AKARI hostel was a pleasant place to stay and convenient access from Nagasaki ekimae and close enough to allthe attractions. I also went on a short walk with one of the locals from the area, Kazuo who was very friendly and informative. Thank you AKARI.

Staff is super friendly. Location is great, many things are within walking distance from the hostel. And also they offer a lot very good tips where to eat and wat to visit
