Receptionists are very very kind and helpful. The location is good,as well. We can walk to Town Center easily (just 10-15 min).

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, comfortable and handy this hostel is. And the employees are very helpful and always friendly. There is a restaurant that serves all 3 meals, a good place to hand wash and dry clothing, and clean restrooms and showers. You can buy souvenirs right on the front porch, and catch a lorry to downtown just about a block away. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay, and an ATM right across the street. I will return to this hostel when I come back to Nairob

This is a utilitarian place, but decently run by nice people. I paid a dollar or two extra for a bed in a double dorm and wound up with my own room for two nights - not bad! Also they provide actual clean sheets with the price. Bring a lock for the locker, and toilet paper: two good things to bring with you in Africa.

They didn't honor my reservation, didn't pick me up from the airport, ignored my 10% deposit, and then double-charged me. Basically, this place is a giant scam, and you should absolutely stay elsewhere. They wanted $120 USD for a Giraffe Center visit, which is several times a reasonable price. If you can afford to be scammed this hard, you can afford to stay in a much nicer hostel.

Its a bit grim but for the price we paid I can't complain. The staff were useless and when they did have information on anything like giraffe sanctuary or buses they where charging a considerable amount more. A taxi driver was more helpful and booking a bus and charging cheaper than the hostel. Stay here if you have done lots of traveling and are used to shabby hostels but don't book anything with them. Bring your own toilet paper.

This was a great disappointment. The hostel was filthy - bed sheets waxy with dirt, cockroaches in the room, the toilet stank and the toilet seat has holes in it. There was no water available for the second night we stayed there. I would like to know who i should contact to arrange for a formal complaint.

As for the standards in Africa it's pretty good hostel. There is warm water though the toilet was pretty messy.
