Our host Mr Jun Nakata was an abundance of joy and energy. He had loads of local knowledge and was willing to share. Mr Nakata had many funny stories and advice about the local deer population and how to navigate this beautiful city. Very interactive and fun. We learnt some new magic tricks! Breakfast was just right and delicious. Facility wise, we had everything we needed and more if you just ask. Recommend highly. Thanks Nakata-san!

Nakata B&B is an excellent choice for your visit to Nara. The owner, Nakata-san, is extremely friendly. He offered us cold tea after we'd spend the day walking in the hot sun, fixed us a delicious small breakfast in the morning (fruit, bread, coffee/tea), and helped us find stuff to do in Nara. He showed us a great pizza place right around the corner. The rooms are traditional Japanese, with tatami flooring and futon bedding, and everything is impeccably clean. Very highly recommended!

Very good value, we felt home. Nice and clean rooms. The futon was a little bit too thin, but it was OK. The owner was very kind and helpful. The free breakfast was very welcome and having fruits was a nice plus. Will come again when we go back to Nara!
